His hatred of the Wings is so painfully transparent.
The rule itself only caused chaos and drama. Given that Nabby's apparently refused to report to the Islanders I really don't see how this was a good result for any of the parties involved.
Exactly. The rule f***ed everyone. The signing team is pissed cause they didn't get their player, The player is pissed cause he's claimed by a bottom dweller, and the bottom dweller is pissed cause he shockingly doesn't want to report. It's a lose-lose-lose! Nice job NHL!
Who said anything about being fair. Until the rules are changed, that is what everyone has to work with.
I know, but that is supposed to be the intent of rules correct? Fairness, parity? Every team was able to make a deal with Nabby and didn't. Now that Detroit got something done other teams can swoop in and take him, and not just other teams, ALL other teams. Again, if Detroit already had him before he went to europe I can see where it might be construed as they were "hiding" him, but that's not the case here. Just doesn't seem right, and not just because I'm a Wings fan either.
1. I think all the waiver s*** is retarded. He was a free agent at the end of last season. Why should he have to go through waivers. Dumb
Agree. We didn't try to hide him in europe, he was never ours. So why should we have to expose him to waivers? He was sitting in the KHL and no one wanted him.
He has a no move clause, meaning he MUST stay on the roster if claimed. No team will take him unless they really want him.
And that's the beauty of it. Holland keeping the douchebags that are just out to spite us out of it. If a team claims him, they'd better really want him, and he'd better really want them.
But who cares? Let's talk about it and bash Crosby because there is a news article painting him in a negative light, regardless of the truth behind it.
Seriously, someone go start www.letshatecrosby.com
The attention this kid gets on our boards has seriously detracted from the quality of these boards over the past 2 years.
And people bitching about the attention detracts even more. It's a front page story that puts a player we loathe in a negative light. But yes, we should all just ignore it.
