i thought the flip out part was at 9 seconds on the vid when some player just fell over for no reason. then i saw the roid rage and the 'im pointing my finger at you as hard as i can' like voldemort.

Im kinda new to the strategies of hockey so correct me if im missing something. if its so good defensively why not run the trap while resting your star offensive players, then when your best players are rested, play them attack attack attack, then back to the trap while resting offensive players again. or even just run the trap with their top line is on the ice, and play full hockey any other time. if one team has a few superstars and no depth, and the opposing team has 1 or no superstars but lots of depth i can see it being a valid strat. even if that works and gets wins i wouldnt be happy to attend a game like that.

play in europe or play in the ahl? hudler went to play in the KHL, so it doesnt seem like that big of a deal.

Playing for a long time at the professional level is not average. average people get cut/released/waived. this is a list of people who werent elite, but somehow contributed enough to be a professional.

I used to run track in HS... so i know what times are fast or what times are slow etc. Was watching the olympics 1600m run and... thought to myself 'dam they're going slow, i bet if i haul ass i could keep up for the first bit' looked at the times being posted and... they were flying way faster than i could dream of doing myself. point is, just because they arent burning out 110% doesnt mean they are lazy. also sometimes its not a reflection on poor play, sometimes its the other team going 110% and making us look slow. whatever the case, we didnt have enough to overcome all the obstacles and... well its a 7 game series.

<br /><br /><br />just a point to the people saying det played poorly or whatever. SJ is a PRO team just like DET. DET could prolly play 4 on 5 all night against college teams and win every time. 8 minutes of penalty time in 13 minutes? even the yotes could be expected to score given that. so saying DET should have creamed SJ like they were a college team is a nice wish, but these are pro teams in the playoffs. cant always expect DET to give 110% every second while the other teams waltz around at 90% and get penalties handed to them. just to repeat "8 minutes of penalty time in 13 minutes" thats like putting 8 concrete blocks in a race car and expecting him to beat the other race car. Sure the weighed down car can be asked to put up more hustle and skill... but it doesnt change the fact that theres 8 concrete blocks effing things up.
