#2283349 Shea Weber fined for Zetterberg "headslam"

Posted by cprice12 on 12 April 2012 - 09:46 AM

Chicago sports radio was even on the Wings side for this. They say since Duncan Keith got 5 games for hit on Sedin, that this was even more deliberate and playoffs shouldn't matter in the number of games.

But playoffs do matter.
Playoff games are considered more important and therefore missing 1 playoff game is like missing 2 or 3 regular season games.
Someone said this before the season...Shanahan or someone.

#2277132 Milbury slams Blysma and Crosby

Milbury is an idiot. Crosby does have some PUNK in him. However that was a cheapshot by Schenn. This series will be the most entertaning one in the first round.

#2276774 Pens vs Flyers

And thats why he's a such a little *****. If he was a Lady Byng candidate type player, he has every right to look like he's about to burst into tears. But he's not. He's a little ***** who does exactly the same kind of crap himself then calls it "a hockey play"

Because a cross check to the lower back doesn't hurt at all right? Crosby and his "feeling of pain", what a ****** right?

Anyways, that was a fun game to watch, I really hope they meet up in the playoffs.

Lol really? Lighten up. This kind of stuff happens in sports. It sucks when it happens in your city but there is nothing you can do about it. Hope he gets caught and move on.

Not sure what you mean by lighten up. An innocent man got beaten, and his wife and young daughter had to see, no less. WTF is wrong with people.

I didn't do it.

That's exactly what someone who did it would say.

#2266752 Cleary, Bertuzzi, Hudler and Franzen

Posted by GoWings1905 on 05 March 2012 - 12:03 AM

according to capgeek, we have Cleary at 2.8 through next year. I think he's done after that. Cleary is slipping back into laziness. DAN CLEARY IS LAZY AND HE SUCKS ™

Bert has 2 more years then he's probably retired.

Franzen is leading our team in goals. Rightly or wrongly, he's doing what he's paid for, for 3 and change per year until 2020.

I see that Zetterberg has REALLY shown up the last couple games. Maybe put him with Helm and Miller, those guys seem to know what puckwork is about...IT JUST MIGHT BE CRAZY ENOUGH TO WORK!

Where the hell is Ericsson lately? how about Kindl? hasn't done much since the start of the season.

Hudler WAS 2nd in goals (dunno if he still is) but goddamn kid. USE SOME OF THAT UFC GOODNESS. ILLITCH DIDN'T PULL THAT MOB CONNECTION FOR NOTHING!

Poor E. Can't even sit in the press box without getting dumped on.

was a 2 year deal for bertuzzi really necessary? why? what is the love affair with this guy?

outside of the shootout, he's awful.

Of that list, Cleary is the one who is frustrating me the most. Iím pulling my hair out watching him play because heís totally ineffective out there. Hit someone, take shots on goal, just freaking do something with all the ice time youíre gifted.

#2265671 Quincey Return to Lineup,

Any of them are better than Error-son.

I was skeptical about Quincey at first, but I've liked his play thus far.

#2265313 Russia/Canada Revisit the Summit Series

Posted by cusimano_brothers on 01 March 2012 - 08:39 AM

Stuff about Team Canada and the Summit Series:
1) Of the thirty-five man roster, seven players played in all eight games, while five played in none.
2) Fifteen players have been elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame; two of them played no games.
3) Two goaltenders played the same number of games.
4) "The Slash" was arguably the turning point of the Series, although both Canadians would later diminish their roles.
5) One player scored three game-winning goals and, except for USSR comebacks, would have had two more.
6) In the blink of an eye, the same moment is captured by two different individuals.
7) Game Four was important for two major reasons:
A) Phil Esposito gave his famous post-game speech and
B) The fans reaction, both during and following the game, was embarrassing to both the players and to the rest of the country. This was the touchstone game of why people have come to realize that Vancouver has some of the most ignorant hockey "fans" in all of Canada.
