#2619470 EC on paper for 15/16.....

I agree about Ottawa.

I also think the Habs rode a hot goalie ALL season. Price is going to have a mortal year and the Habs don't have the line-up to be any better than the 6-8th spot.

Pittsburgh will miss, Boston will miss.

Florida's not quite there yet. Neither are the Sabres.

Columbus will make it in.

Hopefully Detroit has home ice in the first round, but I'll settle for making it in.

Going to be tight

I think detroit finishes second to Tampa in the division, 3rd or 4th over all. Top four will be Tampa, Detroit, Washington and rangers. In no particular order.

Islanders, Montreal, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Florida, Ottawa will fight for the last four spots. Sabres and flyers won't be far behind.

Lol at people saying 3 or 3.5 million, no way he gets anything under 4.5. Back  to back near 30 goal seasons and back to back to back seasons of being one of the teams top scorers he's well worth 4.5+. We're lucky he's an RFA and not a UFA because there are teams out there that would offer 5+ easy.

Everyone in this thread has come to accustomed to Kenny and his lowball "market value" offers, fact is good players get paid and Goose is a good player.

Saad, age 22, 23G 29A 52 PTS - 6M

O'Rielly, age 24, 17G 38A 55 PTS - 7.5M

Kadri, age 24, 18G 21A 39 PTS - 4.1M

Nyquist, age 25 27G 27A 54 PTS- ???

O'Rielly and Saad being comparable to Gooses productivity and Kadri being slightly below Gooses productivity (Kadri's never scored more than 20) it's easy to say goose is a 4.5M+ player.

If you had to go to Free Agency to replace Gooses productivity it's going to cost 5 Million plus for a near 30 goal 50+ points scorer.

Holland was lying.

#2618598 Wings sign Brad Richards 1 yr, $3 million

Weren't we $17 million under the cap?  Who gives a s*** if we gave Richards $3 mill for one year?

#2618586 Red Wings sign D Mike Green (3-years, $18-million)

An offensive defenseman under 30 with a RH shot on a short term deal?  Even if he does end up being subpar on the back end, it's really hard to find fault with this deal.  When you consider what's out there (or what isn't out there) and the prices that those guys are demanding, kind of hard to find any negatives to it.

Why not go for Beleskey?

Why would we want another David Clarkson? One good year? No thanks

Where he fit in DC isn't relevant to where he fits in here....they're two different teams....

In typical LGWs fashion, the thread about the Richards signing has more pages than the Mike Green one.

#2618045 Phil Kessel Traded to Penguins

Posted by PavelValerievichDatsyuk on 01 July 2015 - 01:34 PM

About as many as he normally does...maybe less.

You know how many goals Chris Kunitz scored on Crosby's wing?  About as many as he did before he was on Crosby's wing.

Hossa on Datsyuk's wing?  Same has before he was on Datsyuk's wing.

Playing on Crosby's wing isn't going to make Kessel into Ovechkin.

Hossa scored 29 in the year previous then scored 40 when paired with Datsyuk. Then in the years following 24, 25, 29. What was the difference? Playing with Datsyuk.

Kunitz has got as high as 35 with Crosby. Previously with the Ducks his highest was 25. Also the mean number is higher during his time with Crosby.

Did you not think someone would check it?

I'd rather have franson than Green but neither is top pairing calibre.

Wonder where Phaneuf will land

Phaneuf will probably stay put now.

Taking on Semin would be hard to swallow....

From this day forward no red wing shall wear #90... That's what you get for trying to get around using #19 or #9
Give me a break... Nyquist has scored more goals in the last two years than Tatar plus is a better all around player. I would be happy if we locked him up long term after he played for peanuts the last two years
