Howard has become a big time flopper, but Zetterberg didn't dive on that play. He had his foot taken out from under him while also being shoved up high. The laws of physics say he did not dive

My opinion is so much better than your opinion! While I agree with you that Z was our MVP, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and It's not like Datsyuk wasn't one of our best players. How is Datsyuk the MVP? He played great but Zet or Howard would be clearly the MVPs.... Game 6 and 7 were elimination games and they both pulled through for that, that's how you earn MVP status by showing up on big games.

Some of the best from the Ducks media:
Jimmy Howard knocks net off. Zetterberg dive
Teemu Selanne crosscheck on Jimmy Howard
Jimmy Howard head snapz

I've never seen a goalie called for diving, so why not take a page out of Dom Hasek's book and flop all over the ice?
Hearing these idiot announcers makes me glad I moved away from California

Gustav Nyquist (1G, 1A): A-. Despite his modest production, Nyquist had an excellent series. He was everywhere, and proved that he can play effectively against any opposition regardless of his size. The future is very bright for this one.
It's nice that both of his points came in OT and both tied the series up
Corey Perry should get an A+ for effectively shutting down Corey Perry

Just don't let Edzo convince you that Detroit somehow has an unfair advantage in this series.

Detroit has now won 6 consecutive must win games.
4 wins to end the regular season
2 wins after Anaheim put them on the brink of elimination

Someone needs to make one about Hawks fans thinking the Hawks were founded in 2010. I moved to Illinois less than a week after they won the cup, and the amount of bandwagoners is amazing. There's guys that wear Hawks apparel and can't pronounce the names of players on their own team!

It's been close to an hour since the game ended, but I still keep finding myself pacing around my room with my heart racing. I don't think I'll be going to sleep any time soon.
Screw it! I'm in my last month of my senior year in high school anyway.
Go Wings! Fuel my senioritis!
< that emoticon perfectly describes how I'm feeling right now

They say they're loose, but would you be? This was supposed to be an easy series for them, but the wings have given them fits all series long. They're going to come out at least as tight and careful as they were in game six. If anything, the wings are the team that is loose. Let's steal one here boys!I've been hard on the team in my few posts here, so I'll take a break today. The only thing better than game 7 is . . . game 7 later in the playoffs. This isn't a Stanley Cup year, so I'm going to enjoy this one. It's great experience for the younger guys, and it'll be even greater if they can dispatch a tough opponent on the road.
But I'm not going in with that expectation. The Ducks were the best team in the conference not named Hawks. They earned the 2 seed. The way I see it, they're the screw-ups who can't seem to put this series away. The Wings are playing with house money tonight.
Hopefully we get an early goal and make it stick for a while. Supposedly the Ducks are loose, but I have to think they'll start getting tight if they go behind, and can't solve Howard. They've come back before in the series, but that wasn't under game 7 pressure.
Either way, thankfully my first meeting on Monday isn't 'til 10.

I kind of agree with you, and I never like to bash players. I have had a little less tolerance than usual since its the playoffs and I know we're good enough to go far this year. Smith has been great since we brought him up last year, but he has made a lot of mistakes in the last 7 games. Ultimately no one "hates" him, and everyone is still really excited about him in the long run.Its ok. I just wonder why people bash our up and comers who are actually fun to watch develop (Kindl, Smith, Emmerton) instead of the crappy guys (Bertuzzi, Eaves) who consistently do nothing every game but create a Ducks cycle. I cringe to think of the scenario where Dekeyser is like Ericsson. What if he's hot at the start and then takes his 3 to 4 years to get back to good after a few injuries and the league figuring out his weaknesses? Is everyone going to start pkling on him? I hope not.

Yea, his pre-playoff prediction was Wings in 7 which I was shocked to see. I guess he got lucky on that one haha but hopefully he is right.
