Its ok.  I just wonder why people bash our up and comers who are actually fun to watch develop (Kindl, Smith, Emmerton) instead of the crappy guys (Bertuzzi, Eaves) who consistently do nothing every game but create a Ducks cycle.  I cringe to think of the scenario where Dekeyser is like Ericsson.  What if he's hot at the start and then takes his 3 to 4 years to get back to good after a few injuries and the league figuring out his weaknesses?  Is everyone going to start pkling on him?  I hope not.

I kind of agree with you, and I never like to bash players. I have had a little less tolerance than usual since its the playoffs and I know we're good enough to go far this year. Smith has been great since we brought him up last year, but he has made a lot of mistakes in the last 7 games. Ultimately no one "hates" him, and everyone is still really excited about him in the long run.
I don't understand what you're saying about Bert and eaves. Bert has made that fourth line a factor for the first time this series and eaves has played pretty well too.

I really hope people don't start hating on Deke. He is our future on the blue line

 
Yea, his pre-playoff prediction was Wings in 7 which I was shocked to see. I guess he got lucky on that one haha but hopefully he is right.

I am cool with all of this - but I HATE the hand waving after fights.  That'sf****** lame.  Act like its not the first fight you won. These guys watch too much UFC, its not a show, they should act like they are just taking care of business.

I kind of like it, but only at home. I don't see it as taunting, I see it as getting your crowd into it

Now, that montreal player just obviously tried to fire the puck as hard as he could at an Ottawa player.  How isn't that a suspendable offense?  Becuase nobody got injured?  Because it didnt' catch somebody in the head?

When was it? I watched the game on and off, saw the brawl and some of the stuff after, but I didn't notice anyone shoot the puck at anyone.

Howard has also shown incredible ability to bounce back from bad games. After his bad third period, he responded with about 40 minutes of flawless play, and then was hung out to dry in the third by a deflated wings team. I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes the star of the series from here on out.

Yeah, it's a shame Howard hasn't been scoring, especially last night. Time to make a change.

We need to dress up Russ Tyler in a Howard jersey so he can score on his patented cross ice "knuckle puck"

Is this a serious thread? Besides one bad period in a game that we ended up winning, Howard has been fine.

At least some people are defending him. You can always count on that "Howard=average" thread to pop up any time the wings lose.
I thought he played really well under the circumstances. The only goal that he probably wants back was the one by Emerson etem because he left his post a little early. Besides that he was good.
