Brunner said, “I’ve been waiting for this for quite a while now. I’m really excited to come in and have a great atmosphere. I don’t know what they’re going to do before the game, but it’s going to be an awesome atmosphere walking into the Joe tonight.”

He's always willing to help his teammates

Dekeyser was on the ice for both the Getzlaf and Palmieri goals.
 
I believe he hurt himself during an attempted block shot on Palmieri's goal or right before that during a tie-up along the boards.  He wasn't on the ice after that.

He looks like he gets hurt about 20 seconds before the goal. The way he was standing in front of the net makes it look like he's favoring that hand

We were outplayed, but despite the fact that the ducks controlled the puck for most of the game, we still kept their chances to a minimum. We also got enough chances to win the game. Hiller's big saves late are what made the difference.
We all know that its possible to get in his head and get him off his game. If we can get a quick goal or 2 early, we can maybe derail him for the series

Every game, someone wins and someone loses. One team always plays at least a little better than the other. This time they won next time who knows, losing game 1 isn't the end of the world.
We all knew game 1 would be the hardest because the ducks are opening on home ice. I expect a slight let off from them and a big push from us on tuesday

Exactly. That's the beauty of intermission. This has happened to us so many times, its time for us to do it to someone else

We're bending but not breaking against a team that looks like they really want it. If we can get a goal and pull of the W, this will be very deflating for the ducks

It's funny how one teams best moment is always the other teams worst. It's weird looking at things from the opposition's point of view!

Just curious, does anyone know what the powerplay will be? Dats- z and mule are a given, but I can't remember if Brunner was moved off the point when dekeyser came in, or if he is still back there

Also, I remember seeing nyquist on a couple powerplays (second unit). Is that full time or was it just because they were up by a few goals and wanted to try it out?

The way that series had gone, I was worried they would call that goalie interference.

i don't see how that's "trolling".  nothing i stated is untrue.

It isn't about points, our top 2 lines are better than their top 2 lines. All our third line needs to do is cancel theirs out. Lately, they've been our best puck possession line (except maybe dats and Z), so they can easily tire their opponents out and render them useless

 
how is the wings 3rd line any sort of advantage?  they may have been playing well, but they're not putting up points.  nyquist has 1 point in his last 10 games.
