I know "on pace for" stats are always a little iffy, but imagine if Nyquist played the whole year. Even with occasional scoreless streaks, Nyquist could theoretically achieve 40 goal status over a full season. In his first "full" year.
We have to sign him to an extension as soon as possible
Ladies and gentlemen, I have never in my life seen a game like that. Oh my good lord that was one amazing finish. Against the pens too! This team just does not want to quit! Nyquist is a man possessed right now!
Emmerton's a center. Pulkkinen's a winger. Andersson's a center.
I'm blaming Emmerton for all these injuries, or at least our situation down the middle. We joked about voodoo dolls earlier in the season, but, at this point, that's about as reasonable an explanation as any.
Haha .... I expected Emmerton to be called up but we need goal scoring and Teemu can shoot .... Just rather wish they'd try and change something up maybe and put Franzen at center and call up Teemu fora few games .... Franzen legwand sheahan glendening just gives us 3 better lines I'd have to think
Just wish we weren't so predictable .... Like you said seems emmertons always being called up
I just took a look at the last two goals Pulkkinen scored. Those are unbelievable shots. We saved ourselves a better player in this trade.
Not a question of saving a player over the other .... Jarnkrok pulkkinen "coulda" been a nice duo ....we'll likely have to draft his future center linemate now unless sheahan keeps progressing and becomes a top 6 but I don't see him as a playmaking center .... Maybe we can target backstrom if he ever becomes a ufa
No one's arguing that Calle's not playing well in the AHL or that he doesn't have NHL upside.
Holland's responsibility is to keep Detroit in the hunt. He's not going to stand pat and throw in the season towel just so we can horde B caliber prospects.
I guess if jarnkrok is a b prospect then besides mantha and anyone in the wings line up then we are seriously screwed
Well... no reason to break them up right now, but I wonder if they can keep it up. They still don't look great at times, they're a slow bunch when they get stuck in the defensive zone. But all 3 are good at shielding the puck along the boards and they also all got decent vision and hands making them an okay offensive threat.
I wish Glendening could stop being an offensive black hole because just a little bit of offense from him would make him such a solid player. I wonder if Ferraro or Callahan can steal his job next year.
Got a good feeling about Callahan .... Glendening won't be in the league within 5 yrs guy has no skill with the puck
