Relax people. Perry and Getzlaf are 2 of the best players in the WORLD. Smith is going to get beat sometimes. Any player not named Lidstrom is going to get beat sometimes. Let it go. He's 24.

Not sure if serious. One playoff series win since 2007.

One of the best all around efforts from these guys in a while. Nice to see the refs let them play as well. Nice sell job by Howie on that goaltender interference call, too.

Good game but nights like this make the last two games so frustrating. Now they need to get another two points from a bad Calgary team come Wednesday.

ANd at least we didn't have to listen to Pierre McGuire and Eddie Olcyk tonight.

It's funny we've had two lockouts in eight years and the product itself/officiating is worse now than ever. What exactly are the fans getting out of this league?

It's not about the fans anymore. It's about ratings and getting the casual/non-fan to watch by promoting the latest winners (Chicago, Pitt, LA etc), and the big TV market teams like NY, Philly and LA.

edit: As long as owners and the NHL are turning a profit they couldn't care less.

I've never seen anything as ridiculous as Ovechkin's reaction to being tapped in the head. He falls to his knees, looks up at the rafters with his arms outstretched, glides forward 20 feet before collapsing into a pile. Amazing!

Those kind of theatrics only work for Crosby.
