Well that's a Brian Burke phrase after some reporters questioned his fourth line over and over again, all that while comparing hockey to other sports. I mean just look at some posts after the Pasha, Z incidents or at how happy people are that hockey is slowly turning into something it shouldn't be and that phrase is simple true.
Anyhow, in terms of Phaneuf if the Leafs are eating some money, the interested will go up even if the Wings are out.
Who says hockey is supposed to be anything or any one way? The game you want is vastly different from what hockey started as. You're just arbitrarily picking a period that you like then saying "this is how it's supposed to be."
If he doesn't do well in those starts, it's a problem. I'm thrilled with the way Mrazek has played so far, but when you see what's happened to guys like Hammond and Darling, I'm not going to anoint him to the Hall of Fame just yet.
I have little doubt that Howard will do well. By then he'll have a had more than enough time to fully recover from his injury. As for Mrazek, you're going to have to find where I said he belongs in the hall of fame and point it out to me. Regardless, he doesn't have to be a hall of gamer to be a starter.
Sleepwalker is not wrong. Chewing on coca leaf is no more stimulating than drinking coffee. Powdered cocaine is obviously stronger than caffeine, but the danger really comes from the adulterants, not the stimulating effects. Pure powdered cocaine is no more dangerous than any of the thousands of legal stimulants available in stores. Either way, even if one is exponentially more dangerous, it's downright silly that we try to control what people put in their bodies. It is the very definition of a victimless crime.
Edit: powdered caffeine has recently been approved for human consumption, and it is way stronger than what you find in coffee, so the comparison is actually pretty apt.
Howard is an Allstar, Mrazek as a top 5 is a huge maybe.
I agree about Howard. As for Mrazek, it depends on your definition of "huge." If you subtract the games in which he's been pulled, his stats are unreal, which leads me to conclude that it is lack of consistency that is holding him back.
Mrazek is a carbon copy of Howard. Streaky and terrible in shoot outs.
But I get it... Mrazek is shiny and new ooooo ahhhhh
You can't say that. When howard was at the stage of his career that Mrazek is at now, it wasn't even clear that Howard would be an nhl starter. Although I think Howard Is underrated, Mrazek's ceiling is higher now than Howard's ever was. Mrazek's only real issue is consistency. If he takes care of that, he'll be a top 5 goalie.
Are you struggling? Is your team in a funk? Not to worry! The Detroit Red Wings are on your schedule. LMAO. So this trash team gets a lucky win yesterday and goes back to their usual self again. Just like that flukey win against the Pens when everyone though they were "back." Sorry ass team can't win two games in a row. TANK IT.
