Thanks for the memories. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. He'll be alongside his sons for their development over the next few years. With a bit luck we sign one or both of them and get to enjoy another 20+ years of a lidstrom on the roster.
I wish LGW was a sports bar. It would be hilarious to see a bunch of grown ass men acting like this in the real world. The things some of you guys say about the players is ridiculous. They're human beings playing a game which has no bearing on areas of your life aside from your fandom. I have read instances of people wishing injury upon players, which is totally f***ed. If i were a psychiatrist or a gastroenterologist (for your ulcers) I would plaster my ads all over this site.
I can't imagine why fans would respond positively when the team is playing well. It's mind boggling really.
It was more of a comment on the massive shift in opinion. People were acting like we're never going to win a game again. I haven't been here long, but I can guess that you guys were ready to start slitting your wrists when we went on that 6 game losing streak. I can only imagine how you guys were filled with immeasurable glee during that 23 game home winning streak. You guys are so bipolar it's crazy. One day Babcock and Holland are geniuses the next they're the worst at their respective jobs. One day Franzen is Mr. clutch the next he's trade bait. One day Zetterberg is the most valuable player on the team the next he's a lazy piece of s***. We're fans of one of the greatest sports franchises in history, grow a pair and act like it. If you truly believe that the wings are a great team it will become a lot easier to deal with adversity.
You guys are hilarious. I love seeing everyone jump back on the red wings' metaphorical dick once things improve. Many of you are the very definition of bandwagoners. I would love to see what some of you are like in real life. Some of your' comments display a complete lack of character. How do you all handle adversity in the real world? It's a hockey game, a form of entertainment, and guess what. Nothing you do has any affect on the outcome, it's asinine to freak out over such things.
