Youre spot on with the first 12.  But #13 is Emmerton.  And there will be revolving injuries that allow him to play.


We get it Cory, you really want to play for the Wings this year. Any other year and you might have a chance but there are just too many guys ahead of you that are better. Now get off of LGW and go skate a few laps to get ready for whoever picks you up off of waivers.

I just spent 15 minutes trying to dig up an old thread but couldn't find it anywhere. A few months ago somebody posted something about Pavel and his daughter and somebody posted something speculating that the reason Pavel wasn't playing up to his usual level was because he had gone through a divorce or something like that. Obviously we all love these guys, and we shouldn't spend too much time prying into their personal lives but it really bugged me because Pavel is a great guy and I truly hope he is happy.

Anyway it looks like we can put that rumor to rest because as you can see below, the happy couple was on the red carpet together last night. I'm guessing Mrs. Datsyuk just isn't a big fan of the spotlight and that is why we don't see her too often.

Maybe nobody else cares about this, but I was really happy to see this picture. Like I said, Pavel is a great guy and a hope he has a long life of happiness.

I updated the OP with this as well but apparently there will be no tickets available to the general public.

UPDATE: Apparently there will be NO public sale of tickets for this game.

No tickets to the public expected...corporate sponsors get first dibs then going to season ticket holders of the Red Wings, GR Griffins, Plymouth Whalers (plus Leafs, Marlies, and Sting) second as a way to boost their season ticket sales. Each of those can purchase up to 4 tickets.

Plus, you'll have to buy a GLI ticket for every Classic ticket.

Alumni game information not published yet.

What if Ken Holland sticks to his word and retires with Lids?  That could be really bad... or just fine. I think Nill or Yzerman would do just fine as replacements.

Fil seems to play really well against the Preds. Hopefully he will be the difference maker in this series. I can't really see us being intimidated by the Preds which is a nice way to start the Playoffs.

I don't even see how Babcock can justify playing him over anyone else once Helm comes back. He's pretty much dead weight on the 4th line. If he wasn't on the top PP line there wouldn't be any reason to play him.

I kind of hope to see Homer in the press box once Franzen gets back. It would be a shame to see him in the line up over Nyquist. Homer is a warrior and he has served the team well over the years, but he has no place on the fourth line, or on any line really.
