Pro hockey player Brad Stuart and his wife, Melissa, have sold their Manhattan Beach home for $2.1 million, the Multiple Listing Service shows.
Yep. Obviously he's going back to LA.

I'm not usually the type to post something like this, but that defense is soft as hell. You don't need seven puck movers, especially with Smith waiting in the wings. You need some muscle on the blue line. I don't know why you're so open to dumping Stuart; he's been a rock defensively.
If Lidstrom re-signs: Re-sign Lidstrom, Ericsson, Eaves and Miller, promote Emmerton and Mursak, sign Pitkanen and Ehrhoff to replace Salei. Trade Stuart for a physical top-six forward.
Lidstrom/Ehrhoff
Kronwall/Ericsson
Pitkanen/Rafalski

Is there a way of telling how much effect a player actually has on a goal or assist? As I said before, plus/minus is a worthless statistic. It can be affected positively or negatively without a player having any effect on the play.
Datsyuk wins the faceoff, passes to Zetterberg, Z shoots and scores. Homer, Lidstrom, and Stuart all get pluses also. Most of the opposing team's players wouldn't have had any chance to affect the play, yet they get a minus.
Tell me Crymson, what makes it such a wonderful stat when there's no way of telling how much effect a player actually has on it?
Lidstrom shoots the puck. It dings off three guys in front of the net including Holmstrom's ass. It's Holmstrom's goal.
Cleary passes Datsyuk the puck as he's getting off the ice. Datsyuk passes the puck to Zetterberg for an easy tap in. Cleary gets an assist.

They do if the player is over 35 at the time the deal is signed.Retired salaries do not count against the cap.

Right. It was no one else's fault that the team scored two goals in the last two games.Man would it not be classic for the Wings to eliminate Chicago and Hossa? Hossa deserves to get the wrong end of the stick. He is the reason we didn't win the cup last year. One goal was the difference, in just one of those last two games, and he failed. Hossa, you suck.
