Tootoo has been a good piece this year.  He is NOT part of the problem.

Very Cujo-esque at the end there from Howard.  Need a sliding stop, but we get a flopping goalie looking like he's auditioning for Electric Boogaloo 7.  How many games do you have to see of this before you just want another guy in there?  I'm ok with Mrazek starting every game from now on.  I'm not saying the Wings can't win with Howard.  I'm not saying Howard is bad.  I'm saying that the chances of winning more games does not go up because Howard is in there.  Play someone else, already.

Yeah, I grew up in Indiana, and since there was no team nearby and the Blackhawks mostly sucked during the "Roenick/Belfour Era" when I was young, so everyone was Red Wings fans.
 
I loved hockey, but I didn't really have a team because local TV didn't carry many games. I mostly just saw highlights on Sportscenter and played the hell out of NHL'95 & '96 on Sega Genesis. From that, I kind of had favorite players but not teams (Adam Oates, Pavel Bure, Alexander Mogilny, Cam Neely, Pat LaFontaine, etc.)
 
I moved to Columbus about six years ago during the NHL Lockout. I went to a few games, met some players and became the team I follow.
 
I'm also a Cubs fan, so it kind of fits into the whole "loser" thing I've gotten used to.

Yah.  Id rather just see 4 defensemen and Pavel, honestly.

Might as well trade Dats if youre just going to screw him by making him play with crap.  That 2nd line is making me want to heave.

Take out Flip's 3 points from the 4th game of the year & he's put up a whopping 5 points in the past 12 games.  His so called "breakout season" of 66 points last year is looking more & more like an aberration.  If he really is in the Wings' long term plans, you would think Kenny's talking to his agent already about an extension.  If the ceiling of his prime years is going to be as a complimentary 2nd line winger/sometime center that can't put up more than 40 points a season but plays a defensively responsible game, he shouldn't look for too much of a raise.  If he is & you know you're going to cut him loose at the end of the season, flip him to a contender for at least a little compensation if you're already out of the playoff run.  A little return is better than none after all.

Take out Gretzky's 4 goal game 39 and it might be 50 in 43.  If my aunt had nuts, she'd be my uncle.

i hated this signing from the day it happened. its not his fault he gets injured like this, but he's got bad luck and thats enough to scare me off. we also go and get cola who also has injury issues, and the rest is history.
