Some folks on these forums, who are oblivious to the fact that the Wings sytem is incredibly talent rich, see three relatively unknown names and automatically assume they can't compete in today's NHL. People should not let the manner in which the Wings handle their prospects cloud their vision regarding how talented they truly are. Fact is, Players like Nyquist, Tatar, Anderson, Sheahan and even Ferraro would likely be playing on other NHL clubs right now.
 
A third line of Tatar - Jarnkrok - Nyquist would be intriguing if not for their lack of size/NHL experience. Though I bet they'd outskill most third lines in the NHL today, especially ours.

The old overripen/waivers argument.  Im sure Babcock is just holding true superstars down so we can all watch Cleary, Bertuzzi, Abdelkader, and Eaves score a point every 10 games.  Gimme a break.  If these guys were good, theyd be on the team by 20-22 years old.  Our farm system is good on D, but littered with small Euros.

I told you all this guy was just average and would struggle without #5.  Seems like the Mrazek train is leaving the station and everyone is getting on board.  I punched my ticket.

Are the Wings too soft?  I understand a sliced leg and broken bones, but our whole team sits out with owies.  Im getting a little fed up with soreness issues.

He's been playing decent out there this season, atleast the past 4 games i'd give him. His saving grace is the fact that he's used as a center in our system, and our depth there isn't that great. I would say that his value is going up, and he'd be apart of a package, but i'm not sure we want to get rid of the 4th line center with helmer going down so frequently. He's been on the PK also, and doing a decent job.

Yah!  I am glad people are just starting to take Emdog for what he's worth.  A guy who knows his damn role and shuts his damn mouth!

While I absolutely agree z's beard is the reason for the extra ice time, this doesn't explain all  of kronwalls I've time... I may have to investigate further, I feel there is something I'm missing here, we have to dig deeper

Kronwall's beard is actually fake.  Its made out of Z's shaved hair though!!!

Whats interesting is the long term effect.

If Z plays 41 more minutes per season, you can expect him to score 2 more points because of the cumulative additional ice time.  Over a 15 year career, thats 30 points, and....   oh wait a minute ...this isnt interesting at all.
