While I absolutely agree z's beard is the reason for the extra ice time, this doesn't explain all  of kronwalls I've time... I may have to investigate further, I feel there is something I'm missing here, we have to dig deeper

Kronwall's beard is actually fake.  Its made out of Z's shaved hair though!!!

Whats interesting is the long term effect.

If Z plays 41 more minutes per season, you can expect him to score 2 more points because of the cumulative additional ice time.  Over a 15 year career, thats 30 points, and....   oh wait a minute ...this isnt interesting at all.

How is everyone holding up now?  Im feeling better about our playoff chances.  I am thinking we are going to be on a roller coaster ride this year due to the tight scheduling.  With new faces and injury woes, thats a little harder for our squad to deal with.  So i expect to see a fair share of games where we look like Dallas looked last night.  Im trying not to be overly critical of the players during the tough spots because of that.  Where do you stand at this moment?

Im ok with our pp/pk decline.  Lidstrom was the Tom Brady/Ray Lewis of special teams, so what can you expect.  Im just having a hard time figuring out how Selanne hasnt become a Wing yet.

While I agree that we really need a top pairing Dman - I just don't see Holland making much of an effort to get one right now...UFA in July is when Holland will try to lure fresh blood to Detroit.
 
Between Cola being on IR, and keeping Kindl off the ice it might be a decent move to acquire Corvo.

Holland acquires old guys other teams dont want.

I think the team will be in OK shape with Ericsson back. What we're seeing now is a discombobulated team on defense. It'll improve.
 
When Samuelsson is back, we'll have a good degree of firepower on the third line (Helm, Eaves, Samuelsson) and a fair amount on the 4th (Abdelkader, Tootoo, Miller).

He bunted a goal in as have 1000's of hockey players.  He tied the game up, as have 1000's of hockey players.  He acted like he just found a cure for cancer, and only 2 or 3 players have acted like that.  And people generally dont like those types of guys.  He should have jumped into the boards and then celebrated with his teammates.  Lambeau leaps = cool.  Running from the endzone to the other 25 yard line by yourself and doing a faceplant = lame.

Fedorov was the definition of consistent playoff performer.

Honestly people, show some FCKNG RESPECT.  Im embarrassed to be part of this LGW crew if you are going to cheer for injuries to our players.  I dont care how bad they suck.

I think that Emmerton is borderline useless, but Cleary is currently playing like he's planning to retire after this season. He's clearly not weighed down by knee problems anymore---he's fast again---but he is putting forth virtually no effort. He was one of my favorite players over the past six seasons, but now he appears to be completely apathetic. I don't get it.


 
A bit arbitrary, wouldn't you say? When Helm is back, Abdelkader will be fourth-line center.
