These are children. I don't see any problem with the rule.
Yep, because from peewee it's only ONE STEP to the top hockey league in the world.
Taking checking out of hockey is like taking tackling out of football. When I started playing i did an instructional hockey team for two years. And was properly taught how to check. And what not. I understand protecting kids. But properly teaching them is the answer not just flat out removing it.
I am cool with all of this - but I HATE the hand waving after fights. That'sf****** lame. Act like its not the first fight you won. These guys watch too much UFC, its not a show, they should act like they are just taking care of business.
I think he overdid it. Do it once as you leave they ice. But its no different than like domi with his belt motion.
You don't like when players celebrare do you?
Nothing wrong with a celebration hockey is a sport enjoy it. Plus it gets the dans involved.
I think the thing to realize is that the refs are not deciding the games. The teams are deciding them, and thats the best kind of hockey. The refs didn't make the Wings fall asleep in the 3rd period. Just like the refs didn't make the Ducks suck it in the first period. There were things on both sides that went uncalled, very true. The Wings fans can point out a few instances of that, but they don't want to look at the blatant slashing call in the first period that gets called all the time, but it didn't.
This post isn't directed at you, but merely to reinforce your comment that there has been calls missed on both sides, and thats fine.
Yes agreed. Its playoff hockey...usually happens refs let a lot go.
