skating ability is not just speed alone. but that wasnt what i ment. maybe i used the wrong words. in other words... i hope he is keeping his head up when he cuts the middle.

i think his stats in the swiss league speak for him. in the lockout 04/05 just a few but not many stars from the nhl played in this league.

brunner seems to be a good add to our team. he has some good hands, nice speed and a great shot. but am i the only one, who sees a little issue in his skating abilities? i hope im not right, but he might look like a concussion candidate too...

by the way. take a look at the stats, joe thornton and rick nash had in the swiss league in the lockout 04/05 comparing to damien...

im also happy with the tootoo signing. we need more toughness. badly.

maybe thats a problem too. you can just get better when you play against better teams. in my opinion our young guys dont get enough chances to develop them selves. if you play constantly in lower leagues you gonna adapt this style of playing and speed. our draft picks should get a chance earlier to play nhl, instead of playing minors for years.

I'd take Semin for a year over Doan.

Doan is a great player and a warrior, but the guy's 35. His help to this team is limited, especially given how he plays. A 28 year old Semin on a one year deal, you hope he turns it around and then the Wings can lock him up for a handful of years next season.


So hypothetical situations you couldn't possibly know are true are ok when used to dismiss a signing?

I'd have to think getting Semin away from Ovechkin and around a player like Dats could only help.
