Sammy in for Franzen. Per Khan. However Cleary was skating on the Weiss, Taterdog line

#2436062 Cleary re-signs with Detroit, 1 year, $1.75m deal

Soooo who's gonna wear number 11

#2434940 What forward is the Red Wings X Factor?

Posted by wingedominance13 on 04 September 2013 - 11:24 AM

Hopefully this poll works (first time starting one)

But what forward do you think is crucial for making this team a Cup Contender?

Aww man no more Xmas colors

#2434159 Brunner Contract Talks

Posted by wingedominance13 on 26 August 2013 - 07:51 AM

The dudes agent totally ruined Brunner's chances for a decent contract anywhere. He over played his hand and now Brunner is still sitting outside the circle with two weeks till training camp. Someone will snag him but it wont be for more than a 2 mil one year deal

#2433609 New enemies, whom do you fear the most?

ISLANDERS

but seriously. They have our number.

#2432648 Joakim Andersson re-signs, 2yrs, $1.465m ($732,500k cap hit)

Until Frk comes through

#2430209 Brendan Smith signs 2-year, $2.525m contract with Red Wings

Posted by wingedominance13 on 15 July 2013 - 05:40 PM

Great contract. The most underrated part of this contract is that he will still be an RFA when it expires.

#2429532 Ilya Kovalchuk announces retirement

Posted by wingedominance13 on 11 July 2013 - 02:49 PM

Yea Capgeek has it at 250K, which is almost negligible in the long term. When he retires they won't have to pay him anything so for a team that was not financially well off, this is probably best... but holy crap they are gonna suck. If people didn't watch the devils at all they wouldn't realize how much kovalchuk actually does and how valuable he actually is. Hard to really contemplate this in its totality at the moment.

Seriously he played like 27 min a night. Double shifted all the time.

#2426496 Wings sign Alfredsson to 1-year, $3.5m deal (+$2m bonuses)

Posted by wingedominance13 on 05 July 2013 - 10:52 AM

Love this signing. He still puts up about 20 goals and its a 1 yr deal. Forces the kids to earn their top six minutes, while not taking away a roster spot for them (only from sammy and bert). Good insurance if brunner walks. Low risk with a potential high reward. Hard to hate this, unless you are just looking to hate on Holland for not breaking the bank of this absurd FA class. Not saying Holland has been perfect (not even close) but he hasn't been brazen and dumb either, just consistent.

#2426320 Wings in on Alfredsson

Posted by wingedominance13 on 05 July 2013 - 09:10 AM

Now this is interesting.
@RealKyper: Early indication this morn is Alfredsson #Senators doesn't look very good at all and a real possibly he may move. #RedWings frontrunners
Not a huge fan of this.

I'm actually kind of excited about this. While he's not in his prime and we could you a bigger threat. A short contract with alfie could allow a nice buffer while the young guns come into their own. We still need one more acquisition though

#2425081 Wings buy out Colaiacovo, will keep Bertuzzi

Posted by wingedominance13 on 02 July 2013 - 08:33 PM

"Part of what influences the Wings as they prepare for this coming season is knowing they’ll have three young players pushing for spots in 2014-15, when Tomas Jurco, Riley Sheahan and Landon Ferraro are all expected to be ready for the NHL"

This is what makes me ok with not getting vinyl or making a big move.

#2423501 Mike Smith re-signs with PHX. 6 yrs @ $5.6 mill year w/ NTC

Posted by wingedominance13 on 30 June 2013 - 06:35 AM

I thought the point of the lockout was to eliminate overpaying for players. Especially in small market teams...
