The writer here is obviously a bandwagon fan, probably only watches the playoffs, and only hawks, and doesn't even realize what the wings are capable of, as he has only seen them in game 1 against chicago. Let the people who think hockey started in 2010 make themselves sound ridiculous, because any true hawks/ wings fan knows this was truly the hardest matchup possible in the western playoffs, wings may not win, but we will wear chicago down as much as possible to make them earn each and every win.

Backhander no way. Z may have put more in that way, but that doesnt make his better. Pasha is #1 in shootout % all time. It isnt because he can only use his forehand.

Datsyuk is more slick with the puck, and has dirty moves, and has a good backhander. Those are one on one, most of his goals are nice wrister and not too often back handers. Z can pick corners and snipe from the circles with his backhand, he has a wicked backhander, much better and more accurate from far away than Pasha, but he doesn't have the moves  or hands that Pasha does, no one can stick handle like the magician. 

 

Wrote this long time ago. Pav and Z don't work anymore. Wings won game 7 because Babcock separated them. Today again. Chicago dominated the game in the 3rd period because Babcock changed the lines.

 

Will be interesting to see what Babcock plans. Maybe it's a good idea to bring in Tootoo and add some energy.

ppshh, ever since Hossa signed with Chicago and made a public statement that he was now playing in the real hockeytown... he has been my enemy. I don't want him.

Technically ever since he joined there they HAVE iced a better team, that being said I really do not care that we did not sign him. Everyone saying he is way more consistent is a liar, he is quite streaky as well, and guess what, for the fact checkers, 31 points in 40 games this year, and franzen had 31 points in 41 games. 

hossa was a +16 on a team that scored way more goals and had a +53 goal differential, while Franzen was a +13 on a team with 31 goals less scored, and 13 goals more against, with a +9 goal differential.

Anyone who can refer to him as one dimensional (see hudler) is dreaming, and anyone who claims hossa to be 10X the player, is lying.

Radio hockey is the worst.

From what I hear, the wings dominated until the Ducks first penalty and then kind of faded. Good to be up a goal, but it's not at all comfortable.

i stick to my guns that ken kal sucks, he is pretty good until something big happens, cause he starts screaming out the plays that lead up to something big and doesn't actually say if it was a goal or not until about 5 seconds after the fact, which is so frustrating if you have to listen to it at work or in the car or whatever..
