#2604631 Who is the coach next season?

Posted by BadgerBob on 29 April 2015 - 09:56 PM

What makes you think Babs is presumably packing up and leaving? And it's either him or Blashill. Blashill has earned it and put in his time to be next in line.

Blashill, with Lidstrom and Cleary Chelios as assistant coaches.

Fixed that for you. Our team will be the best conditioned team in the league and he'll teach these kids how to play with a nasty side.

Was really hoping the Coyotes would get the pick. I'd like to see Doan get a shot at the cup before he has to retire.

The same people who are praising Mrazek would have been ripping on Howard for letting in the tying goal, complaining that he got his glove on it, should've stopped it.  It isn't that Mrazek lost in the shootout, it's that he looked totally clueless out there when the Wings actually put 2 on the board.  We don't know how Howard would have played tonight.

If they played that sloppy in front of Howard this game wouldn't have even had an OT.

How bout trading Jimmy and have a Gus/Mrazek tandem? jk.

If he fetches us a good defender I wouldn't be upset about this.

I don't see how Franson isn't worth $5M/year. That's not much more than what Quincey got...

That's kind of the red wings tthing

The Wings doing this along with the Packers always doing this is bad for my heart!

#2542750 Toronto Radio: Illitch is selling everything and Babs will be Leafs GM

Yes. His role currently is special assistant to the general manager, which seems to be leading in that direction as long as he proves he knows what he is doing. He is being groomed by the greatest organization in hockey. If he doesn't end up being a GM here, he will likely be a GM somewhere.

He's a good ol' Tronna boy, gonna be joining the Leafs coalition with Shanny, Babcock, Yzerman, and the Bowmans.

"Yo what up what up this ya boy P Kane in the hizzle, just want to give a shoutout to all the dime pieces out there, hit me up after the game and I might let you smell my cup YA KNOW WHAT I'M SAYIN but on the real one love PEACE"

We all know very well Patty never goes after dime pieces...strictly nickles.

What a buncha ungrateful fans editing his page like that...

Yeah, if whoever edited that doesn't like the management style of the best GM in sports, maybe they should follow another team..

I don't understand why people hate the shoutout. I love it. And it's not during the playoffs like World Cup is for example.

It's only regular season games and it's cool and exciting to see. Even if the wings suck lol.

It's winning based on a skill competition basically. You don't see games being determined by home run derbys, dunk contests or some sort of qb competition. Shootouts used to be exciting to me, but now since they are so often it kind of lost its luster.

I think it was a great signing... Senior citizens should be respected in all aspects of society.

Hey, I guess they're right. Senior citizens although slow, and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose!

Hey since Kenny is in the spirit of throwing large sums of money away, maybe I can get him to pay off my student loans for me. After this I'm convinced Kenny is locked in the basement of JLA and Matt Millen is running the team. Thank god the Packers are awesome otherwise this would be a looooong winter for me!

You people are all way too serous about this. Take a step back from your keyboard and breath.

The positive of this is it a 1 year deal we have a ton of cap space and looks like no way of using it.

If he performs like he has prior to the last couple of years you will all be in love with this move come season end.

He is a veteran player who can be trusted by the coach and knows the system, you are all very well aware of how fragile this team is so veteran leadership and depth at this price is a no brainer even if he does not play a game.

As for the GM I would like to see how some of the posters on this site would be able to pull off the NHL 2014 trades that some of you so desperately want. I can't imagine that it's that easy or you'd be a GM in this league by now.

Life long wings fan here who is a realistic person.

Chill out relax and enjoy the show!!!!

No one wants to hear it Kenny.

I'm officially completely embarrassed of being a fan of this team. How can someone keep their job constantly signing such garbage players. Mr. I or one of his family members needs to pay attention to what the hell is going on here.
