It's pretty obvious : They are trying to shop Kindl around to get fully rid of his cap. If they bury him in the minors that won't happen. I agree that Oullet should stay up from a performance standpoint but I can also see the calamitys Holland is in. Let's just hope we can get rid of Kindl as fast as possible.
Nothing exactly, it's way too early for bold predictions like that. Did the wings start better than I've expected them ? Absolutely Do I think they can keep it up ? Who knows but I'd rather keep it realistic and enjoy watching the future of this time instead of dreaming about something on which other teams are having a much better shot at.
Yeah, the Bruins have taken a step back (I still can't believe they've lost Iginla, Thornton and Boychuck) and not replacing them - thats on Chiarelli and he has to fix it. Pittsburgh regular season is meaningless for them, we'll see how they are doing in the playoffs.
You're right frank if we were talking about winning the cup. But rick and kliq talked about getting into the playoffs. We already played a lot of hockey and a quick glance at the standings with 7 points ahead on the top team not in a wildcard spot tells us we're looking pretty good. And not just because we're lucky or got weak opponents, but because the team plays excellent hockey and finds ways to win. We would have to pull a Toronto like breakdown to miss the playoffs.
Predicting we hold one of the top 3 spots at the end of the season is bold, predicting we're making the playoffs not so much.
18 shots to 7?? It really didn't seem that one-sided
Our shots weren't that dangerous and pretty easy to save. As I already said, we didn't put enough pressure at Andersson imho.
Nevertheless a decent first period, most notable for me is that Weiss is not notable. A good thing, because he's not sticking out like a sore thumb despite the unusual position and his first game back in.
Don't know if it's a good idea to throw Weiss immediately against Top 6 competition. He will need some time, probably at least the rest of the season, to adjust. I also would change Abby and Jurco. The former is playing great right now while the latter isn't consistent enough to be Top 6 material yet.
Man I'd like to see a little bit more consistency out of this team. Like a good four game win streak would do my heart good. We've got a skilled team, and some guys are playing really well, but damn if they can't do it every night.
That will grow out. We have a bunch of pretty young guys at the team and while they are exciting to watch they are also inconsistent. That will change in two or three years when the majority has a few more seasons under their belt.
That meme sums it up for me. So many cute plays by Tatar and two brain farts by Nyquist ( in one incident with the help of Kronwall).....
