It's no mystery why Sammy is in. During warm ups he's going to take a shot at the net and hit Franzen where it counts. It worked in the last game.

Problem I have with the reffing in general, including regular season is the punishment doesn't fit the crime. A player gets checked from behind into the boards and is either hurt or shook up pretty bad and it's a 2 minute penalty. Player barely hooks someone or trips them and it's 2 minutes. They aren't equal put the penalty often is.

When the North Stars left for Dallas I had to find another team to cheer for. It was between Detroit, Winnipeg and Chicago. I chose the Wings cuz they were so fun to watch offensively. In April of 1997 the town I live in flooded and I lost everything. Watching the Wings in the playoffs and eventually winning the cup that year helped me through that nightmare.
Past 10 years I get Center Ice and watch almost every Wings game.
