#2643818 That lazy Mantha....

Posted by Wheelchairsuperhero on 21 December 2015 - 12:27 PM

Richards has been playing really well and he needs a spot in the top 9. With what we have available to us right now, I'd like to see...

Nyquist - Zetterberg - Abdelkader
Larkin - Datsyuk - Richards
Tatar - Nosek - Jurco
Helm - Sheahan - Glendening

That's a deep, well balanced lineup in my opinion...

I don't hate that Mantha remains in GR, but what happens when he and Athanasiou make the jump over the next year or so? We simply have too many forwards. A great opportunity to make a trade to bring in some help on the back end...

I'm totally with you on Larkin being with Datsyuk, I don't understand how this hasn't happened yet. He's exactly what Datsyuk needs, kid is a puck hound.

Clearly nobody has taught Richards that on the Red Wings you're supposed to blow those grade A chances high and wide.

Oh well. Got a point and Howard actually did well in the shootout. I'll take it. Lol

My thoughts exactly, I'll take that point.

Everybody should chill a bit. A week ago we played super well against two of the very best teams in the league. This week we had a couple stinkers. Oh well. It happens. We aren't a perfect team, but we are competitive with the best teams in the league. Playing two bad games in a row (we got a point in one) is not a sign that we need some dramatic change in our roster or approach.

I've said all along, and still maintain, we will be a MUCH better team in the second half of the season than the first. Growing pains happen. We will continue to improve, make some tweaks at the deadline, and be in prime territory come playoffs. Mark it.

These have basically been my thoughts as well. I've said it a few times now, but I believe the team is trending upwards, despite these last two losses.

That's a sound of a team going one n done again in the playoffs

This is the sound of an over reacting forum.

Awesome win. PP definitely needs some changing though. They're essentially killing their own pp by playing catch in the perimeter for a full minute. Need to start shooting low and winning the rebounds with numbers or something.

I can't believe how much Montreal really sucks without Price.

It amazes me. 4 losses in a row.

Everbody seemed to know it except Montreal.

Well, he made contact and was in the crease.
I'm not sure specifically how the rule goes though, goal looked alright. Penalty on the other hand...

Amazing that some people have still found ways to complain after such a dominant win. Great fight with a Wing standing up for himself? They're soft. Beat a decent team in Arizona, a crappy team in Buffalo, and good teams like LA and Tampa? They suck. We lose to bottom feeders and "this team sucks because they can't beat bottom feeders", we win against them and it's "wow we beat a crappy team, big deal." Can never please the haters.

Better than Larkin?

Definitely not right now.

Why is Helm with Datsyuk but not Larkin? I'm so confused.

Babcock knew what he was doing when he left the Wings. He saw this coming.

You're right, the leafs are awesome.
Why is Pulkinnen on every line?

Yeah, and Gorges went into the boards awkwardly.  Took exception.

Got it. I just caught part of the replay where it looked like he lost an edge, but a hook makes more sense. Shouldn't Gorges have gotten an instigator?
Anyone else love the thought of Drew getting the game winner? I sure do.

Miller is an excellent shot blocker.
