I'd tell Howie after the 1st that if he doesn't win this game that the WC isn't happening

Tell him he's playing for the starting job in the Winter Classic.

Another brutal performance against a lesser team. What else is new?

#2467252 Weiss

This is my last straw with Weiss. If he comes back after the surgery and shows piss poor effort again I won't be looking for him to succeed here anymore. Can only hope this fixes him.

He tried to soldier through the injury while others were hurt, but ultimately, couldn't carry on. That's pretty admirable. He doesn't need to be "fixed". Sports hernias seriously hinder a player. You can't expect him to be the same player he always was when he has one. I think it's remarkable he's produced what he has with this injury. He'll be back healthy and then his talent and effort will show through.

You know that warning where they tell you that using footage taken of this game without the consent of the Red Wings is prohibited?

Why on God's green Earth would I want to use footage of this game for...anything?

Game 7, Toronto vs Boston

Tell me all about how this team is, in ANY way, similar to the Boston team that did that. And after you do that, describe to me how this Ducks team is as susceptible to that as those Leafs were.

Game over, folks.

With as comically awful as this team is, may as well throw a few checks. Could at least make them legal, though.

Over/under on five first period goals for the Ducks?

#2465483 Can Detroit turn things around?

Posted by DatsyukToZetterberg on 17 December 2013 - 12:07 PM

I think if we could only ice a lineup looking like this:

Jurco-Datsyuk-Alfredsson
Miller-Andersson-Tatar
Cleary-Glendening-Eaves
Bertuzzi-Sheahan-Samuelsson

things would turn around. Very balanced lines, each line has a scorer (Alfie, Tatar, Eaves, Sammy) a great puck-carrying center and a playmaker. With this our 2nd PP unit would look something like:

Cleary-Tatar-Eaves
Kindl-Sammy

and I can't imagine that not being an effective unit.

I can't tell if this is serious or if it reeks of sarcasm.

This thread was coming sooner or later.

I can't understand the massive step backwards he's taken this year. He was improving for so long and I finally thought he might have earned a permanent spot with this lineup.

Nowadays, however, I wouldn't mind if we got rid of him. He and Quincey are always good for at least two mind-numbing plays during a game.

How often I find myself saying "Nope, can't beat <insert name of opposing goalie here>".

Got home from playing for the elementary concert just in time to see Quincey's goal. Good for him. I've been one of his critics this season, but here's hoping it gets him going.

How have they looked otherwise?

Didn't start particularly well, but Quincey's goal seemed to get things going again. Other than that, can't say that anyone's been spectacular.

The good news about this penalty? Ericsson is healthy.

I imagine Tatar as one of those guys who just can't sit still. Ever.

If Feaster were the GM, we could probably get Monahan for Tootoo and Samuelsson.
