I started typing out some lines and I keep forgetting guys because we've got two million forwards and the only ones we can get off the roster are the ones who are playing well, so I erased it. Screw this roster anyway.
Ha. We were having problems with that last night.
Its amazing how many forwards we have that should be in the lineup.
Even more amazing that we haven't dumped any for picks or bundles them for a cheaper body.
Granted kh probably has tried.
Nyquist Pav Bert
Hank Helm Alfie
Jurco Sheahan Tatar
Eaves Glendenning Miller
Cleary & sammy-> selling game programs
Z pav bert
Nyq helm alfie
Jurco sheahan Tatar
Abby glendenning eaves
But who do we send down.
Cuz Cleary, Sammy, and miller can't all be on the roster yet.
I mean do they wanna risk losing any of them in case we need em.
And if we recall them after the roster limit is lifted does their salary go right back on the books with no penalty?
We need to do something.
Cuz the kids on my stated lineup have been too valuable to send back, without a noticeable drop off in effective play.
If nothing happens before sochi I fear sheahan and jurco will be gone to make room for Weiss and one of those three.
Not to mention what they'll do when Anderssons back, cuz hes great on the pk, unless theyre just ir-ing him to make space for one of the other guys.
Our rosters so crowded.
Its crazy to try to think what theyll do.
Or is it just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality. Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see. I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy, because I'm easy come, easy go a little high, little low. Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, to me
Just killed a man.
Put a gun against his head.
Pulled the trigger now he's dead.
I like Hossa, but that's a stupid statement coming from a veteran player. I don't want to sound like the Red Wings are flawless characters, but I can't imagine someone like Z, Pavel or Kronner ever coming out and accusing another team of something like that. Professionalism seems to always reside within the Red Wings organization, though Hossa isn't exactly surrounded by models of exemplary behavior in Toews and Kane.
In all fairness, they are great players and they didn't have a roster of hall of famers to learn from.
They were drafted high and counted on from day one.
Chicago's success of late is because of them, but you can't compare them to pav. And z, kronner or the wings because our character has always been exemplary....
But passed from generation, to generation.
Its obnoxious the amount of greats we've had here, they're learning on the fly.
And they're still young, but none of them, ever disrespect our franchise.
Hossa is kind of a different story.
He's a journeyman scorer that's already played for us, let him try to grab onto whatever excuse he has for losing to our lowly struggling, mostly ahl-er team..
Eaves really has a nice wrister. skates well, kills penalties, and is a right hand shot we've wanted.
please waive sammy and leave Eaves in. no reason in hell to send eaves down in the future
And a pretty good slap shot.
All reasons why I question why they gave the extension to miller and not him.
I get the concern about him staying healthy when the contract was signed.
Now it just seems like the wrong choice...
Franzen- hossa type thing on a fourth line scale.
Jurco and sheahan together is a beautiful thing.
And jurcs just trying to do everything he can to stay here.
I know hes young.
But he gets better and better every game.
I hope some movement happens to where we can keep him up.
And helm with some nice hand work.
Should've shot it.
But it looked good.
Against almost any other defender that move would probably have worked.
Our fourth line is playing well.
The last few games I've seen a lot of good things from glendenning..
ddidnt really like him, or understand how he got the call up before the obvious, but he's gritty.
I'm comin around.
But also not for the life of the contract as you stated which would be 4 years, but for twice the remaining length so 8. Regardless, if they were to buy him out (which they won't) they would use their remaining compliance buyout.
I just edited my last post to specify, but the compliance buy outs were for contracts signed before the new CBA was put in.
