Another angle.

Maybe not tonight but when the Red Wings see this Lucic better keep his head up or maybe someone walks him......

What is going on??????????  I just got back from a 3 week vacation and the Wings have dropped in the standings, the injury report looks larger than the lineup, and the rest just beat the Kings.

Am I in the twilight zone?

and BTW what happened to Alfie?

Goodness...........

I wonder if Ottawa would consider picking him up for nothing to help stabilize the bottom 6. A redo of sorts...I always liked the guy.

Nope, just Sammy and Cleary and Quincey.  I'm seeing better things from Senators right now in the Spezza shirt I'm  wearing.  You should trade him for Sammy, Cleary and Quincey and take solace in the fact that it may inevitably bring you Connor McDavid.

UGH, maybe then we'll actually have a first round pick to make that happen, maybe.

If I thought that would help the Wings to get Alfie the Cup...........but you know what? I am really enjoying watching the Wings and getting to know this team better. I rooted for them in the West and I like them in the East. Good times good times. Datsyuk deserves this eastern spotlight.

I think Alfie  is just kind  of guy.....no crying, no Hollywood....that's the guy I know.

God I miss him in Ottawa.

Edit- too many beers. Simple.

Come on! Helm scoring on his 2nd shift and Tatar adding one seconds later?? Is this real life??

Awesome start.

Juicy rebounds... it's going to be shooting gallery. Nervous giggle...........bring on Alfie.

Wait, what? Canucks fans whining? Never...

I think the Canucks' insufferable fanbase was the reason why so many hockey fans not affiliated with either team were rooting for the Bruins in the 2011 finals.

This. I'll admit I know more about the 300 km garbage stream from Japan tsunami floating towards the BC coast than I do the western conference but I had to laugh.

My Mother who is a Coyotes seasons tickets holder thought that the Bruins were a bunch of knuckle dragging mouth breathers but never once did she hold her nose and cheer for the Nucks.

#2450175 Dave Bolland just got Karlsson'd

Posted by SensViking on 02 November 2013 - 07:44 PM

Ugly hit by  Kassian just took Bolland out. Another Achilles?

I'm no fan of the Leafs but my heart aches when I see stuff like this.

Is Kassian a weasel like Cooke?

You guys know the Western conference player way better than me....

Edit-Crap...Matt Kassian plays for Ottawa... I mean his brother...cousin, sister, relative, neighbor.

I just hate to see a skate drop a guy there...me loves some Karlsson.

#2440301 10/1 NHL Out of Town GDT - Opening Night

Posted by SensViking on 01 October 2013 - 08:50 PM

Scary indeed for Parros. But I better bite my tongue on this one

I won't....Orr just beat Parros up with one punch and stole his lunch money, that's the life of a goon.

Poor Montreal they all just got 2"smaller.

I do hope he's ok though.

#2439042 Should we expect a slow start from Alfie?

Posted by SensViking on 25 September 2013 - 09:04 PM

Truthfully I'm not worried. Alfie is a warrior and I can't ever recall him starting out the season slowly. It's just my opinion but Alfie is the icing on the cake not the straw that will stir the Wings drink.

If he's tweaked his groin they will let him rest and work out-he always comes to camp in great shape- no need to work him like a rented mule. I'll bet #11 is reveling in not having to be the answer every night for the team and because of that look out!

Go Alfie!

#2434632 New enemies, whom do you fear the most?

Posted by SensViking on 01 September 2013 - 06:44 PM

Hi- I come here as friend not foe and I don't intend to stir the pot but just to add my opinion.

Firstly- I am a Sens fan but secondly and maybe more importantly I am an Alfie fan. I'm not sure where I stand on all the off season shenangians but you have got yourself a great player- he smart and makes players around him better.

I have always considered the Western conference to be superior to the East in terms of skill and I think you guys may be selling yourselves a little short.

I think you guys are going to skate circles around the East and cause teams fits for a couple of seasons- until you either devolve or they pick it up.

I watched every game of your playoff series last season against the Hawks and the pace of the game was far and beyond anything I saw in the East.

You can't hit what you can't catch.

I pick Detroit to be in the Final with maybe Piitsburgh...but Detroit will be there- changing of the guard and injuries and you're still scary.

Yeah Ottawa may talk a good game but who knows what team will show up-really.

Toronto is a two trick pony, Montreal all emotion and Subban is so readable, and Boston has lost a step.

I see good things for Detroits immediate future.
