I'm going to go against the grain.

1. Howard has to be better.  He had some huge saves in the first two games but Game 3 was disappointing.

2. The Wings need to drive to the net even more.  Stop trying to be cute.  Only shoot from the perimeter if you're going to go in for the rebounds.

3. Keep level-headed.  Nashville is calmer and will continue to try to rattle the Wings.  Franzen can get angry all he wants, but he needs to be scoring in order to do so without hurting the team.

That's also a good point about Franzen's position.  Some of his best hockey was at center, was it not?

Making of a Preds fan:
1) Open Cracker Jack box. Look for prize. Ticket to a hockey game. Congrats, you're a Preds fan.
2) City-slicker accidentally runs over your rooster. As an apology, he gives you tickets to a game. Congrats, you're a Preds fan.
3) Its 80 degrees out. AC is busted. You hear about a big sheet of "ice" downtown. Congrats, you're a Preds fan.
4) Ex-husband is short on alimony. Asks you to take his Cracker Jack prize instead of calling authorities. Congrats, you're a Preds fan.

preds fans threw stuff on the ice after game 1,so it is not new

Did they also fire guns in the air? How many fans climbed onto the ice afterwards to collect metal and glass for deposit? :cool:

Anyone who has played hockey (like I have for most of my life) and has worn NHL level helmets, knows a helmet shouldn't crack, and in 3 places no less, from something like that.

Again...maybe the visor cracked where it attached to the helmet, which I can see...but not the helmet itself...no way. Sorry. If it did indeed crack, it was probably already weak from previous impacts over the course of the season.

Maybe he just needs to switch helmet brands.

Wow that's going a long way to explain away his helmet cracking.

While I believe you've been wearing a helmet most of your life, from your expert opinion as someone who wears NHL helmets, you can tell that there's no way it cracked in three places? In spite of you having not been at the game. Not having touched or inspected the helmet, or having even gotten a good look at the helmet before or after the headslam. Given that total lack of information, the most logical conclusion to you is obviously Zetterberg's lid was ready to blow at any second from general use over the course of this season, not from him getting his head slammed into the glass.

Makes sense.

It's the playoffs, we all know how this works. Suddenly all common sense goes out the window. Things that weren't penalties in the regular season suddenly are. Things that are suspensions in the regular season suddenly aren't. Wouldn't be the first time and nothing shocks me anymore.

The blues fan might need a refresher.

Add me to the disappointed crew. This team needed serious upgrading and we did nothing. Thank Goodness the Tigers will be starting in April, cause the Wings will be done in the second week of April. This team had 4 players that actually show up each night, so whatever Holland. If I were Lidstrom I wouldn't come back to this next season. Oh well the 20 year ride has been fun. GOOOOO TIGERS. What a complete Joke. How can anyone watch this team the last 2 or 3 months and actually be impressed??? Seriously?? We SUCK On the road and I mean SUCK, we barely pull games out at home (until recently)and lets face the only line producing now is the third line. WTF!! Season Over, sorry guys and gals. I can honestly say I won't be disappointed when we get KO'd in round 1.
