Gotta say, I've never noticed any animosity between the two, but Ken sounds genuinely frustrated and annoyed the way he said it in that clip.

See that's the way I feel, too. It's especially noticeable to me when I listen to the entire 7 min stretch, which is an eternity in hockey announcing.

?..  The older he gets, the worse he gets.  I really don't see him in the booth much longer.

Couldn't disagree more. He's the real deal. There is no better guy to replace him with.

I might have to jump ship if Ozzie becomes our new color guy D:

It's amazing how people just come in here and assume he's some kind of drunk. I hope I'm listening to Ken and Mick for many more years.

Agreed, I love them both.

That happened because there was a long stretch of action with no whistles. I took it more as a comment about how Ken was so busy calling the play-by-play that there was no room for Mickey to get a comment in.

I thought of that, too. But when I listened back to that stretch it seemed like Kenny was giving Mickey a lot of opportunities to jump in and he wasn't biting.

I mean the question is: what do we want? A right hander that helps you move the puck on right side of the rink (strategic), or do we need a point scoring defensemen? If it's the right hander to help in smooth puck movement then we have Marchenko. If its a goal scoring defensemen then we can go for Keith Yandle. I dont see the point of trying to get some crappy right hander for 4-5 million that cant score. We may as well stick with Marchenko then. But if were looking to increase blue line scoring then we might as well go with Keith Yandle who is a lefty.

Our GM is historically hesitant about choosing a rookie over a veteran heading into the playoffs, let alone a rookie who has played less than 10 games with the team this year.

Yandle would be nice but at what cost? Teemu Pulkkinen? Andres "Helm with Hands" Athanasiou?

Plug Petry in for a couple of years, allow Marchenko and Sproul to develop, and reassess.
