FWIW, TSN has the 35 pick as RW dimitri jackson:

The big Czech winger impressed scouts at this spring's U-18 championship, netting four goals in five games. Played 33 games in the Czech elite league. Strengths - Big, strong player with decent hands and a heavy shot. Uses size and strength effectively along the wall, excellent balance, plays a smart, pro-style game, adept at protecting the puck, solid work ethic. Weaknesses - His feet are mediocre, will need to work on his quickness and agility. Not overly gritty considering his size. NHL Upside - has been compared to Guillaume Latendresse, but with a better skating stride. Also has been called a less skilled Bobby Ryan. If his feet come along may have second-line upside.

and the 48th as defenseman ryan sproul:

After January 1, the only OHL defenceman to score more goals than Sproul's ten was CHL Player of the Year Ryan Ellis with 12. Started the season with Vaughan in the OJHL before deciding to join the Sault Ste. Marie instead of going the NCAA route. Strengths - Scored most of his 14 goals with a heavy slapshot. Game improved substantially over the second half of the season, raw offensive tools, sees the ice well and finds shooting lanes. Weaknesses - needs work on his quickness and lateral agility. Very raw, not overly physical. Decision making needs work, as well as his defensive game. NHL Upside - Skating will be a key to his development. If he makes the NHL he will contribute goals on the power play.

One more left to go, then will Holland make a safe pick, trade, go off the board, draft Cthulhu? Find out after some crappy team drafts...

wings will draft a name we've never heard of, probably with 9 consonants.

#2185297 James Wisniewski

Posted by sputman on 15 June 2011 - 09:13 AM

Wisniewski committed 18 minor penalties in 75 games last year. If you break down the types of penalties he received it indicates that he does not have a tendancy to commit the same mistake over and over, which can be annoying to watch.

i'm a huge fan of ansar khan and i am very excited to see that he likes wiz as a replacement for rafalski.

He was suspended twice in 2009-10 while in Anaheim -- two games for hitting Phoenix’s Shane Doan in the forehead..

SOLD

watching this game, i have to wonder how our team would react to vancouver's past shenanigans?

anybody else a little dubious of our "scrums are wasted energy" mantra?

burrows and lapierre would be getting away with so much more s*** against the wings.

#2181798 James Wisniewski

i personally love both of these incidents. the avery incident shows he doesnt take s*** from other teams. and apparently seabrook and him were really good friends when wizzy was in chicago. so it shows that wisniewski is all business on the ice, will defend his team (even if the other guy is a close friend), and sees himself as a lil bit of an enforcer.

and if you watch that second video a couple of times seabrook acts like his brain stem was just removed. the announcers noticed it, too.
