Enzo: Sydney Crosby is a big influence in this Detroit-Chicago game.

and in the middle-east peace talks, and in the rise of the tides..

i was at the game, sat right behind the bench, watched the trainer come back and shake his head to babcock as if to say "it's not a big deal."

#2125882 Wings Playoff/Cup chances?

Posted by sputman on 04 March 2011 - 08:02 AM

The playoffs are a completely different game. Nothing we've seen this season can give us an idea of how good or bad somebody will be in the playoffs. Everyone plays better defensively, Howard is very capable of just getting on a hot streak like he did last year and dominating. Philly is really good and most likely going to take the East, but Boucher and Bobrovosky have little to no playoff experience. I wouldn't be surprised to see them get bounced. Vancouver hasn't shown anything in the playoffs yet. I'll worry about them more when they get past the 2nd round.

I like the Wings chances this year to win it all. Nobody has more depth or experience. We have the best coach and the better players. Instead of focusing on what we don't have, focus on what we DO have.

yeah come playoff time everything is ramped up a little.

i guess that means that salei gets 5 hooking penalties a game as opposed to his usual 2-3.

#2121944 Ericsson vs Ott

Posted by sputman on 25 February 2011 - 07:05 AM

i came home from class and the 2nd period was ending with them down 3-0 and getting pushed around (i missed the howard scrum but saw them jawing at him at the end of the period).

my wife asked if i was going to stay up and watch the rest of the game and i said that i would, because i wanted to see if the team would respond like men.

honestly, that ericsson fight was one of the best things i've seen all year, just from the standpoint of somebody saying "enough already with your bulls*** against my teammates."
