#2566172 Larkin or Mantha?

Posted by LeftWinger on Today, 03:41 PM

Larkin has just scored17 points in the last 7 Michigan games.  He is only 18, not saying he is going to be a scoring machine, but with a scoring machine like Mantha (projected) on his wing, he could be a setup machine...

Yzerman/Fedorov - Dastyuk/Zetterberg- Larkin/Mantha.

Yes, I went there.  No way can EITHER of these two be traded.  I would HATE to have to make a choice like that, one or the other....UGH!

I prefer it being North vs. South.

#2565909 Greatest US-born NHLer of all time?

Posted by LeftWinger on 25 January 2015 - 01:44 PM

Modano?
LeClair?
Leetch?
Chelios?

Roenick?
Mark Howe?
Other?

I'm leaning towards Chelios myself. Leader, hard-nosed gamer, great guy in the room and a seemingly inexhaustible will to win.

In this order:

Chelios, Modano, Hull, Roenick.  Kane will surpass Roenick by time his career is over, but will still be behind Chelios, Modano and Hull.  I am not saying that Kane won't finish with more points than Modo, but for a long time Modo played with some inept Minnesota teams, Kane has had a an all star team for pretty much his entire career.  I love JR, but once he got traded, he wasn't quite as dominant as he was in Chicago.  The same would happen for Kane, I am afraid, so he better hope he never gets traded. Also I would like to add that I think Kane is better than any of the other mentioned US born players...and no Lafontaine is does not belong on that list, neither does Carson.

Chelios

Modano

Hull

Roenick

...with Kane coming up fast.

I didn't get a response (typical) from my first tweet to that Laplanta guy, but I just sent him this:

@bran32shan @AnthonyLaPanta @FollowThePuck There the REAL Hockeytown gave you a loser point. Good luck making it out of the cellar.

Someone with twitter should respond to that. Any takers?

@bran32shan @AnthonyLaPanta @FollowThePuck Ya, but our Hockeytown doesn't close the first week of April. Oh wait, you're out now.

...you're welcome!

Been playing quite well without Franzen

                :withstupid:

don't need him and his head problems. Let him sit LTIR for the rest of the season to get his issues taken care of and see if he can come back next year ready...if not, then retire.

#2564965 Do we need a trade to get our offence going ?

I'm kind of bothered by the fact that Jurco already having back troubles.
Not enough to give up on him yet, but its a little worrying.

I agree, but if they gave up early on oft injured youngsters, Kronner would've been gone a long time ago.

I agree with that too! It's the same idea, there is no reason anyone should interfere with anyone else's rights to free choice.  If I want to have stem cells injected in my body to save my life from certain death, its my choice.  I am not playing God, I just want to live a long healthy life.  Freedom of Choice, I support it, I just wish that we really had it here! Thank Goodness Gordie was able to go somewhere and get this done....on a funny note, it makes you wonder if indeed Andy Kaufman is alive and well.

This is pretty sad.....

....pretty sad that Gordie had to go to a 3rd world country to have a life saving procedure done that this country, supposedly the greatest country on earth REFUSES to ok throught the FDA! Really America?f****** Tijuana, Mexico? Of course I could imagine the price you'd have to pay in America to have this procedure done if it ever got the ok to go forward with it.  Obama and his cronies would have their hands all over it.  Of course, they don't make as much money CURING these things as they do "TREATING" them...

...a story like this makes me happy for the patient, but pissess me the f*** off knowing that the cures are out there, yet the NWO just allows people to become debt slaves to medical bills and just die off in obvious population control attemtps.  "They" don't want us living until we are 100, "they" want us dead before or soon after you retire and stop giving them you income taxes...

The Wings need to come hard and come fast against every team they play, esecially bottom dwellers.  For years and YEARS the Wings were accused of and play like they were old and slow.  They couldn't keep up with the young fast teams.  Now they are young and fast, so why play the game like the old and slow Wings? I never understood why you would try to surpress the attributes of certain players.  These kids are super fast and super skilled. Play that game and 9 times out of 10, you are going to beat the teams you are supposed to beat and surprise some of the better ones.

I hope beyond hope that we see the fast and skilled Wings tonight skating circles around Buffalo, and not a slow lathargic one playing down to another bottom dweller. That will only spell trouble.

So, Kip, when you say something that not's very popular, you are just kidding around...when others have opinions that aren't very popular, they are obnoxious assholes that flip flop their opinions like houses get flipped on DIY... I get it now! I understand your agenda!
