Really? Wow.....the kid is in his first FULL year. FIRST EVER NHL Playoff's. On a team where he is #3 defenseman as a rookie....PLUS HE JUST SCORED!
He will grow into a great player, have patience...

My god people. Calm down. We're playing flat right now, it happens. The over reacting on this forum is ridiculous.
Not that you are too far off base, but seriously the way you say that is like you have been here for 10 years... nothing wrong with a little overreaction... Chicago just the better team tonight....lets just hope the Wings are playing flat and this is not just how good the Hawks are compared to us...

Smith is struggling...maybe White will get a shot this series...
Anyhow....we have that Average Goalie to thank for stealing that period. Chicago is showing why they were the best, BUT we are still there. Gotta come out and get a bit of puck luck....
Hawks have killed off 20 straight PP's...law of averages says it's time to give one up.

Well considering the guy above is pretty new to these parts, he/she obviously doesn't understand what my statement meant in respect to these forums.
No, one series does not end a debate in general and I am still of the opinion that Hossa is a better player than Franzen. Even if We win and Franzen outscores Hosse, my personal opinion will still be that... BUT the folks that have been around here since "The Choice" know exactly what my statement meant and means to me. Whether or not I think Hossa is a better player, if we beat Chicago or Franzen outscores Hossa (win or lose) I will never compare them again, or complain about "The Choice."
^ Why so serious all the time? I feel like I get lectured everytime I read one of those posts....

I DO know that the Hawks beat the Wild that was using a 3rd string goalie...
I DO know that Jimmy Howard is in the top 8 goalies in the league...
I DO know that it took 2 SO's and 1 OT to beat the Wings this year...
I DO know that the Hawks seem to be able to win at will...
I DO know that Hank and Z are better than Kane and Toews...
I DO know that our team is heads and tails better than it was the 4 games they played us...
I DO know that no matter what happens, I WILL NOT miss the asinine Hawks fans when we move East! Good Riddance Bandwagoners!
I DO know that no matter what happens in this series, The Wings have far exceeded expectations this season and can hold their heads high!
I DON'T know what else to say! Just Shoot the Puck and Score!

Ok, here it goes.... The ever on going debate Hossa or Franzen, Franzen or Hossa, which one should we have kept? This series, for me, will end it. Every last one of you no doubt know my opinion of Franzen and the choice I wish Holland would have made...BUT this will end it.
I am putting it out there right now, to all of you, IF either Franzen outscores Hossa this series win or lose OR Wings eliminate the Hawks I will (are you ready?) NEVER bring up the Hossa > Franzen EVER again! I might slip years from now, so if I do you can blast me and remind me of this statement. Doesn't mean I still won't talk about trading Franzen for a player we may need more, BUT again, the Hossa is better than Franzen debate will be OVER when it comes to me! (I can see a lot of you clapping right now! 
)
So.....
If Franzen outscores Hossa (win or lose the series) -OR- if the Wings eliminate the Hawks (even if Hossa outscores Franzen) I will be done with the debate forever.....
If Hossa outscores Franzen and the Hawks eliminate the Wings, nothing will change, it will just be status quo....
Game on!
(if you want my honest opinion, I obviously hope that I never mention the debate again with a Wings win!)
