#2615527 Free agents this off season

Posted by Rivalred on 20 June 2015 - 07:29 PM

Regardless, We're rebuilding - you don't trade young talent and a first rounder for a player at the end of their career in that situation.

I'll really hoping for Franson. Yandle would be great if it didn't take too much - otherwise wait for him to be a UFA next year.

Older guy end of his career no, younger impact player immediate, yes

Don't think Nyquist is an emerging star

Good player yes, emerging star, no

Well, yeah. Their best players are still in their prime. But when they do age, their best forwards and dmen will age out at the same time.

Wherever you go there you are? Lol

#2615123 The Bowman Effect

If I had that Cupboard from the story, it would produce the Stanley Cup less quickly than Scotty Bowman could.

small players would come alive, surprise, and play Big?

I need to see the Corsi stats first

#2609522 Dylan Larkin turning pro... will play for GR immediately

Posted by Rivalred on 21 May 2015 - 05:16 PM

Never once said it was anything but a large cap hit. I've simply been saying that it isn't a contract that is gonna handicap a team. 5 mil for just 3 years is manageable for a lot of teams.

Larkin gonna be paired with AA. Dat speed...

"Larkin also participated in the IIHF World Junior Championship earlier this season, where he tied for the tournament lead with five games in five games."

Swear I didn't write this

#2609421 It's Official: Babcock to coach Maple Leafs

If he really wants a challenge, he would stay in Detroit to try to make this defense look decent.

Easier said than done when Holland had tied his hands and this team cannot land FA anymore due to some reason or another

Try again

As for Buffalo, yes it may of been a long season and lost season due to how the their team and organization has been slowly burning and not getting the number one pick was the nail in the coffin, well think again, now to make matters worse they thought they would have Babcock and he slipped through their hands and landed with a close rival

Well Sabres, how do you think fans of Detroit have felt? Watching our coach of 10 yrs speak with other teams not knowing and waiting, concerned if he does sign and we lose Blashill, but same time we are worrked about losing Babs also?

Buffalo, you had nothing to lose, only gain. We were going to lose either way, there has been salt in our open wounds for a week now.

Get over it and move on

What does Babs have to lose? He has more or less said it himself, he likes a challenge and work with kids and direct them. The man has a cup and some other fancy hardware. He gets to call shots per say and run the ship to some degree.

This is why he left Detroit, Toronto is a challenge for him and that is what motivates him.... And the raise of course

Maybe he will win coach of the year, one thing he has not achieved
