#2065766 Jiri Hudler Watch Thread

Posted by Rivalred on 19 November 2010 - 10:38 PM

Hudler has thus far in this game shown yet again why he deserves no time on the power play. His ES play has been horrible, too. Minnesota has simply bodied him off the puck whenever he has tried to hold onto it, and he's not fast enough to evade them.

A 5'4" and 100 lb blond could body him off the puck

#2065417 11/19 GDT: Wild 4 at Red Wings 3 (OT)

Posted by Rivalred on 19 November 2010 - 05:27 PM

Much appreciated... I hate information without links

Hell yeah

noted! Ill be looking from 226B

Which one are you reading for the Wild, HFBoard? Other team's GDT's barely break 5 pages long, and most of its whining, so I usually don't bother.

Although it was fun to read through the Blue's after giving them a good old fashioned 3rd period schooling.

Hope the boys come to play tonite

there are only like 5 wild fans on hfboards so there probably won't be much to read

That is sad

225B tonight for me.

Lol, reading the opposition GDT is funny. Different teams fans all have totally different attitudes. If you go to the Wilds board the people actually seem pretty well mannered and knowledgeable. But not a single person over there is predicting a Wild win. It's like....they seem defeated before the game has begun :-p

Modesty is best policy

About to leave. Go Wings!!

Have to pay for the Pistons one way or another.

The organization is not going to give up on him so easily. He will get at least as much time/chances as Leino did and if not , well...

Hudler is trade bait for Jack Johnson

Trade him

Trade him

Trade him

#2062505 Osgood may retire following this season

Posted by Rivalred on 13 November 2010 - 12:28 PM

I really hope he will stick around for another season or two IF he wants to and the organization wants to keep him.

A groin injury is expected if you have been on the shelf and only uses here or there.

It is so hard to imagine any other team when you hear the name Steve Yzerman.

Welcome Back Malt-Liquor.

#2031734 Kirk Maltby nearing 1 year, 2 way deal

Posted by Rivalred on 08 September 2010 - 09:39 AM

I know i've stated it several times but i would just feel sick to my stomach if this old man gets the call to play instead of a young promising prospect, you gotta think and prepare for the future, simple as that.

What happened to the new fun, caring, optimistic, Mindfly?

Malt's can still be effective killing penalties/blocking shots (aka special teams).

Reminds me, I will miss Lilja. :(

From time to time, I will wake up hyperventilating and in a cold sweat. After sitting up and calming myself, I wipe the tears from my eyes, and rest my head on the pillow. Slowly close my eyes and pray to god that Crosby and Malkin will play in the KHL, while Bettman becomes the commissioner for Nascar.

Saying to myself, all will be OK, you are safe.

But seriously, it was a BS game and penalties should of been called. Eff the Pens, Bettman, and the refs.

I think some people have a short-term memory issue of the last successful playoff run. Osgood had an up and down season and when Hasek was replaced, someone named Chris Osgood stepped and well

Not to take away from Howard's play last year, but I want to see how this season turns out. Sophomore year for a rookie tender can go south quick.

#2028945 Line Musings

Posted by Rivalred on 24 August 2010 - 04:46 PM

Lines really look good on paper. I am looking forward to seeing what kind of chemistry this team can put together. Hudler replacing Williams who replaced Hudler. Modano replacing Sammy.

I wonder if Willa Ford would be up for putting on some "shows" during intermission...

Wow I've got to say, seeing this on paper for the first time is impressive. This team looks stacked!

MMMMM, stacked...

Babcock says he is going to start with Bertuzzi and Hudler switched but yeah, those are pretty much our lines for the season barring injury.

Kronner's knee is still bothering him. Also, it will be interesting to see how Big E handles the season; same goes for Kindl.
