#2494180 Andersson breaks foot - down another center

Cleary can play center.

Can take draws, is responsible defensively and a good leader.  When is he coming back again?

Hopefully never.

#2481160 So what do we call the 26 - 15 - 21 line?

The line Holland is wrong and kids can play in the NHL line :P

#2455790 Holland Interview

Posted by fixxxer on 20 November 2013 - 03:17 PM

Listened to it and have lost any respect left that I've had for Holland. He's disillusioned and completely lost his mind. We don't expect to bring up all the "kids" but to think the vets we have now are doing the job after this many games is absurd . We are effectively using our player in the wrong rolls. I love Helm but come on no. 2 center he's not the type of player to play that role same with Abby on any of the top 6 he's much better on the bottom 6 at what he does best fore checking and being aggressive. Franzen I still don't think he realizes he's playing hockey.

Tatar and Nyquist have the necessary skills/talent to play w/similar players on the top 6. I don't know how many times I've seen Zet or Dats make a beautiful play to either Abby or Cleary and they can't handle the pass they just plain out ruin the play turning a scoring chance into nothing. At the very least Bert has the hands to finish and can take feed from either of those two. The line juggling is ridiculous no one has time to mesh one game they do well and the lines still change the next game they do horrid and the lines change. There's no consistency for some of our new players to really settle in and learn to play with their line mates.

Our biggest issue by far is the lack of our puck moving defensemen we have broken sloppy plays getting out of our own zone and the turnovers from our so called "vets" are god aweful.

#2455774 Nyquist Getting the call

Yey for Gus coming back up booo for Cleary practicing on the first line. When are they gunna wake up and smell the coffee that Cleary is a wasted roster space. Hopefully Gus plays his two games here then we waive Cleary when more forwards get healthy.

#2436379 So....did Cleary just take Tatar's spot?

Posted by fixxxer on 12 September 2013 - 08:37 PM

...I am speechless that Ken Holland is dumb enough to sign Cleary what a waste of a decent off season. I'm embarrassed for Holland complete lack of self control to sign these types of players.

#2428111 Wings Attempting to Re-sign Cleary

Posted by fixxxer on 06 July 2013 - 03:50 PM

Aaaaaaaannnnnnnddd just like that Holland ruined the summer and season. What a moron exponentially so if we end up trading away our youth for Cleary's dirt bag ass. Might not be finalized but sounds like they just have to dot i's and cross the t's. Cleary's been a prick ever since he forgone his knee surgery and decided to play during the playoffs that one year. He's a freaking joke.

Holland is already pushing out Tatar and possibly Nyquist from playing decent mins on this team. I bet Cleary will get a NTC to.

#2426521 Wings sign Alfredsson to 1-year, $3.5m deal (+$2m bonuses)

Posted by fixxxer on 05 July 2013 - 11:01 AM

I wouldn't mind this deal at all if A.) We'd already re-signed Brunner and B.) we'd been able to unload Sammy.

I won't hate this deal as long as we don't re-sign Cleary. I will hate everything if we don't re-sign Brunner.

I don't know if any if these things are related, but I have feels and it makes sense in my head right now.

LOL well said

#2416807 Holland on The Huge Show.

It's a little early to start talking about Pulks, and Frk. Pulks just got to America and Frk hasn't even played with anyone over 18 yet. Sheahan, Ferraro, and Jarnkrok will be up before those two. Look for Miller to be resigned due to him being a utility player...

Funny how these names keep popping up as if they will be playing any time soon. Just because we have having a "youth movement" doesn't everyone is coming up. I doubt we'll see a lot of these players for 5 more years. ( sounded a bit wierd the way it came out but I agree with what you said).

I agree with keeping Miller around for the 4th line he's very dependable and strong at what he does for this team. Miller and Brunner are the only two I care about retaining.

#2399339 former Red Wings stars join rec-leaguers for game

Wow that would be pretty amazing to see all them join up for a beer league. Bet they all had a blast I'm a little jealous.

I would play any of our scratched forwards instead of Cleary.

#2369379 Time to blow it up and rebuild

Posted by fixxxer on 15 March 2013 - 05:38 PM

I firmly believe the Holland seriously miss the boat to ease this transition from losing vets and bringing up the young players. Smith w/o a doubt should have been playing an entire season with Lidstrom the fact that he didn't I have to question upper managements decisions flat out loss opportunity. Tatar and Nyquist should be playing a lot more with Dats last year as well even this year. Instead Holland idly sits back and rides this sinking ship to the bottom of the ocean. I seriously don't know what he's thinking. There have been a lot of miss opportunities to give our young guys more exposure and more experience. Instead they are all inevitably going to be all brought up at the same time.

This attitude to let rookies sit in the minors and overripe is no longer an option it wasn't an option for the past few years and now its going to bite us in the ass. The amount of mentoring and learning from the vets are disappearing and the biggest one was Lidstrom. I'm no longer an Holland fan but more on the fence watching with suspect eyes. If he's the GM we all thought he was he's gotta be able to be a good GM even when s*** hits the fan and so far he's not doing so well.

#2368335 2013/2014 lineup, Amnesty, Cap

Posted by fixxxer on 13 March 2013 - 10:42 AM

I wouldn't spent 1 cent on acquiring Perry let some other team throw away their cap space for him. Rather wait longer until something worth going after is available and Perry is not that player.

#2357602 Do you like Family Guy? Why? Why not?

I am a good person, who likes watching shows like family guy lol, but I don't go out acting like peter griffin.

Exactly its entertainment and nothing else.

#2332264 NHL Fan Lockout Pledge

Posted by fixxxer on 19 October 2012 - 03:42 PM

Personally I feel like boycotting the red wings doesn't make sense as Ilitch at least from the small rumors doesn't already align with Bettmen but there isn't much that can be done including other owners who are are also successful like Ilitch who also doesn't agree with Bettman. Its a two sided sword that the fans just get bent over and screwed over. We can only hope (or at least I can hope) that these small market teams lose so much money that they will finally either moved or close down. I hope for the latter a smaller more productive league is better for the fans.

These poor desision making small market teams hold all the power and keep Bettmen doing what he does making it as profitable a league as he can pretty much for the best interest for middle of the road and bad market teams. The tier teams will make more money at the expense of losing being able to ice great teams. The ability to go out and spend disappears so whats the difference for a player to go anywhere other than the fact that team x happens to have more cap space that year. Mediocracy is all we will most likely get out of the NHL so that more owners can be more profitable. Unfortunatly as Red Wings fans we lose.
