#2047563 Cleary Injured

Posted by Jedi on 15 October 2010 - 05:07 PM

I think they need to play injured a bit... it doesnt have to feel 100% perfect every single game... rafalski scoped his knee because of some pain... play through pain yeah?

That's a good way to turn a 3-4 week healing time to a 3-4 month healing time.

This is impossible. Maybe 0.9999999c, but definitely not c.

Why is it impossible?

Matter can travel faster than light in certain circumstances. Why shouldn't it be able to travel at equal speed?

Ok, Professors. Now's not the time (er, at least place) for a physics lesson.

Gotta hate the Crosby commercials. Though, the radio broadcast in the background was fun. "We call the Penguins losing in the 2nd round an underachievement..." Really? I called it hysterical.

Dude, McCarty flat out OWNED Patrick Roy, like no other player I've ever seen.

McCarty, of all people. Man that brings back memories.

Excellent. 4 more years of the Death Stare.

That whole "Best Coach in the League" thing is pretty good too.

#2043086 Superimposed ads on the glass

I tend to pay more attention to what's happening on the ice, rather than what's being superimposed on the glass.

No biggie to me.

Good to hear that Pavelec is doing well.

Best wishes to him on a speedy recovery!

#2039932 Will Maltby be put on waivers?

Posted by Jedi on 03 October 2010 - 02:47 PM

i thought he signed a 2 way contract?

Two way contracts only dictate how much he gets paid. He gets paid a higher amount it he plays in Detroit, and a lower amount if he plays in GR. Two way contracts have no bearing on a player's waiver eligibility status.

Probably got it that way because he realized there just isn't really way to make an airbrushed duck look intimidating...

Gets knocked around way too easy :/

He's 21, and this is going to be his first season as a professional hockey player. Give him some time before selling him up the river, will ya?

#2034721 Rule Changes Explained

Posted by Jedi on 20 September 2010 - 08:33 PM

Anyone else think the NHL should have edited the last line a bit before releasing the video?

Here's the original line...

"On behalf of the National Hockey League and Hockey Operations Department, good luck to everyone in the 2010-2011 NHL season"

But with the model of consistency that is the NHL's on-and-off-ice officials, they might be better suited saying it like this...

"On behalf of the National Hockey League and Hockey Operations Department, good luck to everyone in the 2010-2011 NHL season. You're going to need it."

#2034191 Kari Lehtonen doesn't wear his Chuck Norris mask, it wears him

Posted by Jedi on 18 September 2010 - 10:23 AM

*yawn*. Sorry, never been a fan of the Chuck Norris stuff.

It's a creative idea, I'll give him that. But even Chuck Norris can't help him with the team he has in front of him...
