#2089501 1/2 GDT: Flyers 3 at Red Wings 2

Alright guys. Let's keep the discussion centered on the game, and not on each other's posting styles and grammatical structure (or lack thereof).

Thanks.

Its easy to support your team when their winning, but try supporting them when their losing.I bet half you posters shut your television off.Im STILL watching the game :D

Good for you. Do you have something constructive to add to the discussion, or are you just here to underhandedly attack other members?

Yet another bandwagon fan

Coming from you, who only really shows up to post your vitriol about Bertuzzi? While that's not "pot-calling-the-kettle-black" territory, I'd say it's fairly close.

I might as well say this now, wings will get rocked by flyers on sunday as well, leino will probably do something sweet...too many injuries and not paying attention to details will cost the game, of course, poor goaltending, but that's to be expected from detroit.

Are you saying this preemptively because that means you won't be here in the GDT for the game? Please let it be so. The lack of negativity in the thread would be so refreshing...

What a game! Tonight breaks a bit of a curse on me, as this is the first road game I've ever seen the Wings win. Every other time they either tied, or lost, dating back to 2001-2002. Very glad to have that particular monkey off my back.

The walk back to the truck was alot more fun too. Usually all the Stars fans are complete a-holes if they win against the Wings. Tonight, they were much more subdued. :sly:

And damn, this is a beautiful sight!

Remember much, MUCH too well the hog-copulating Avacramps of the 90's. Will never forget, will NEVER forgive.

And how many of those Avs are still playing today? I hated the Avs as much as anyone back in the day, but that rivalry is over. Shattenkirk (the Av who got hit) was 9 when that rivalry was in it's heyday. I don't think you really need to hold THAT much of a grudge against him.

And even then, I wouldn't have celebrated for any player getting smashed in the face with a puck. I like to believe that's what makes our fanbase better than theirs...

Homer looked like a gladiator coming back to the bench.

Almost like he's thinking "ok, NOW I'm PISSED"

No he didn't, price have a bad team in front of him especially the tiny montreal forwards, not much he can do, look at the GAA&SV% and see where Price is standing, he's great. Even though howard won that game he didn't outplay price in any stretch of the imagination.

Aha, but by your line of reasoning, SV% is the most reliable stat for determining how well a goalie is playing. So by your logic, Howard DID in fact outplay Price in that game.

Boxscore, 12/10/10, Canadiens vs. Red Wings

Howard - .947% SV%
Price - .903 SV%

Not to mention the fact that Montreal outshot us 38-32, and basically controlled the entire 3rd period (outshot us 19-3). So, yes, actually, Howard did outplay Price.

I can read whatever the f*** I wantto read, that should be none of your concern. I just made a commnt that some of you overreact, am I wrong?

You keep trying to start s*** with me, nothing I said was directed at anyone in particular, just made a honest statement. You are the one looking to pick a fight, not me. If you dont like me reading or posting in your GDT, well thats just tof****** bad.

You need to calm down. Remember, that you are a guest in this house.

Parading around with an attitude like that is not a good way to ensure that the welcome mat stays out for you.

I guess the team knew osgood doesn't stand a chance in the shootout so they put the cards on the table and went all in in the final minute of OT.

Did Lidstrom send you a txt message with that? Or maybe you follow a player's Swedish-only Twitter account? Because I'd really love to know how you seem to know exactly what the Wings are thinking during a game.
