    10/22 Homecoming GDT - Hurricanes @ Red Wings - 7:30 PM ET

Over the years that I've been a fan, I've missed barely one playoff game, TV or in person $$$$$, streamed almost every regular season game available $$$$$ and purchased much Red Wings swag $$$$$. Tonight is enough. Blashill must go. NOW, Chris Illitch, N.O.W.!! Dan can take over to close this season out. Then Yzerman takes over, fires the rest of this staff and we start fresh in 2019/2020. I cannot stomach the embarrassment this group is bringing to our city and our jersey. NOT ONE OF YOU ARE BIGGER THAN THE CREST ON THE FRONT OF YOUR JERSEY! FFS how many more nights will this be OK? The only question left to answer this season is how much damage will be done to our young core group of the future having to be apart of such a franchise at this moment in time with men like Holland/Blashill incapable of guiding us back to the top. Anything is better than wasting time and money night after night being treated like a sucker by owners who have counted on us for far, far too long. What a joke.

    Henrik Zetterberg has Retired

15 years just came and went. His storied career will rank right up there with Captain, Lids and Pavs. I hope he enjoys his time off and perhaps once Stevie returns, maybe there will be a job offer. We really need to retain some of these guys to keep that level of committment, culture and excellence going and to guide the young men coming up in what it means to wear the Winged Wheel. Once the puck drops in 2 weeks, it will really hit home that he is gone. I am really choked up writing this. Thank you Hank. Thank you.

Two Tendies Enter. One Tendy Lives.

One thing you don't do is tank. EVER. That's the stuff losers like up north Leaf fans are made of. (The NHL helped them with that #1 pick anyways... that is apparent.) There is no guarantees in sucking on purpose. And there's that little thing called integrity. You do not embarrass our jersey. Petr won't get it done. It seems apparent. Howie has been pretty good, but recently? Not so much. None of this matters. They could be the 2nd coming of Hasek and it still would not matter because the team has QUIT on their coach. Period. Zetterberg about to cry on TV is the final straw for me. I need a break from this team. I am so disgusted.

    12/2 GDT - Red Wings @ Canadiens - 7:00 PM EST

I have never seen a loss like this since Stevie was a year or so into the league. WOW!! Once a team quits on their coach he needs to go. It isn't fair but as they say you can't fire the team. Blashill is in over his head. He blames the wrong guys. And him and his coaching staff seem to have no answers but lots and lots of excuses and cute quotes. That is for losers. ******* losers. About a 100 games in and he is not the answer to move this team forward. The Calder Cup win is a distant memory. Holland? FFS Chris Illitch might even bring him back. Yes. Imagine that. He is guaranteed to write his own ticket. He is doing our organization a huge disservice. Move upstairs already or go home to Western Canada with your riches. We have had the enjoyment of 3 HOF captains in a row. But when I turn on the postgame and see my current captain about to cry on a national TV broadcast all I can ask is WHO THE HELL IS GOING TO STEP IN AND DO SOMETHING? I can only imagine what Hank and Pavs talk about these days. The fans love you Hank!! Nyquist, Tatar, Abdelkader make me sick. I expected a hell of a lot more than what they have delivered and it seems it is not going to happen in Detroit for them. (6 more years of Abby all because he's from Michigan? SMFH) Mailing it in over and over and over. Petr or Howie need to go. Green is waiting on a phone call from a playoff team and best believe it is coming. How the hell did we turn into this? A team with NO direction. NO plan. No preparation. And zero accountability. Call the front office and tell them how you feel. I don't know what else to say. Disgusting.

10/26 GDT - Red Wings at Lightning - 7:30 PM EST

Agreed. They look lifeless, uninspired and ill-prepared. And for 10,000,000 Tatar and Nyquist are a joke. Excuse after excuse. It's tiring.

1/25 GDT - Red Wings vs Toronto - 7:00 PM EST

Flew in for the game. Atmosphere was depressing after the 3rd goal. Time to blow this team up. No passion. No effort. No hitting. No positional play. No backchecking. Ohhhhh wait, isn't that THAT'S THE COACHES JOB. I used to think Dave Lewis was the worst hiring ever. Now is the time to pass that torch to Jeff Blashill. Nothing will change until he is fired AND followed out by Ken Holland. Holland has simply allowed the game to pass him by. No more building off small, weak forwards in the draft and hoping they will become physical tough players. The NHL teams are building around fast, physical MEN - not weak, passive guys who stand around after getting hit. To only be a few points out of the playoffs and yet so far removed from ANY solid plan is depressing to watch. None of these players are worth more than the crest on that jersey. When the Maple Leafs - made up of a couple good rookies (who also seem to actually ENJOY the game when they're on the ice) and journeymen, and throwaway players - we have hit rock bottom. OK maybe rock bottom is missing the playoffs. Well that is up next. I won't even watch Ken Holland's comments regarding this game. More of "we got a new building coming" bulls***. Pavel knew something. This coach and the direction of this team is awful. Excuses are for losers. And we sure make alot of them.

ECQF Game 5 GDT : Red Wings at Tampa Bay Lightning, 7:00 EST

So Blashill relies heavily on analytics huh? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Got too many up and coming stars who are both too good to trade for immediate help and not good enough to take a spot from a veteran. Power play sucked all year and we are holding optionals in the playoffs. Pavel is likely gone after this year simply because he misses his daughter and not because he sees where we are truly headed. I don't even recognize this team anymore. Shame on management and this new attitude of insulting our prospects. Get rid of Holland. He doesn't deserve a sniff of those luxury boxes 16 months from now.

ECQF Game 4 GDT : Tampa Bay Lightning at Red Wings, 7:00 EST

This game will speak the truth about who and what we have in that dressing room, as well as where Blashill is after a season. Very disappointed in management lately. I imagine Holland is comfy but Bashill must be better. The coaching staff is no longer top tier, but wake up behind the bench a bit man. Yzerman, on one knee, struggling with his stick to get up after every hit absorbed is what a Red Wing is. It's a level of respect for the jersey that these guys should have. GOWINGS!!

ECQF Game 3 Post-GDT: at Red Wings 2, Tampa Bay 0

To see Konstantinov at the gate .... what could've been if not for that limo ride. What could've been. And what a spark Smith bought to the lineup. A year ago we were running him out of town. Biggest concern going forward is the line match ups. Blashill needs to keep rolling those lines tomorrow. AA still can't get more minutes though huh Only complaints is the PP and people still not crashing the net. But that Abby line NEEDS TO STAY TOGETHER!!!! Tomorrow we will we see how serious this team is. Anything less than what they gave tonight and they were all just playing games. No way Tampa of 2016 is head and shoulders above us. So LETS DO THIS!!!

ECQF Game 3 GDT : Tampa Bay Lightning at Red Wings, 7:00 EST

Expecting a W today. Expecting Mrazek in for Howie and Smith in for Marchenko (pathetic, while Ericsson plays??). Very likely a W for us today ...... however, proof of how ill prepared we are or how bad our mental makeup is will be Game 4. We shall see. GOWINGS!!

ECQF Game 2 Post-GDT: at Tampa Bay 5, Red Wings 2

I have to throw my hands up. It's been awhile but - rebuild or kinda rebuilding - this team is a damn embarrassment. I'm done with Tatar & especially Nyquist. Zero zero ZERO guts or passion. This past season - 25 years making the playoffs OK cool - but these guys are embarrassing our jersey. I want Holland gone. Blashill can become an assistant here or somewhere else. This is a damn business first and you never EVER embarrass that crest on the front of your jersey. It's time for a shakeup. Not bulls***ting PAYING fans with cute one liners and promises that you know better, Mr Holland. It's not a matter of winning the series. Win. Lose. But show up. No excuses. I don't care which team has the most talent. You never embarrass the jersey and this group minus maybe 6,7 guys, are doing just that. We are a joke. A joke. Paved & Zata deserved better Mr Holland. Excuses are for losers and we haven't made excuses since the 80s. BUT HERE WE ARE TODAY. Absolute pathetic.

  14. Some are saying - INSERT TIN FOIL HAT - that the timing of this is perfect to take the attention off the team and allow them to get down to the task of beating the Lightning. I really do hope the team makes the most of this opportunity.
  15. No matter which player, which team or how decorated he may be, he is NEVER bigger than the name on the front of the jersey. Pavel is indeed a rare, special player here but he should honor the final year of his contract. He must remain professional. He should have did a year to year contract if he had any designs on possibly going home early. Rebuild or not, we need him here, even as his skills start to decline, because his input is hugely important to the younger guys who will lead the next generation. Honor the last year. End of the day, he is in a business and he has made upwards of $75 million from the Red Wings so he owes them as much as they "owe him". I hope he stays.
