To each their own, but I don't have a problem with this at all! I like Dynasties, and I'm not a fan of one time Championships.Stern because since he's been commish, 1984, only seven different teams have won championships.
Funny, how the Lakers making a 3rd championship in a row and the Celtics a 2nd in 3 seasons, is favored by the NBA, and in the NHL they don't like it. The NHL likes one time Champions like Carolina and Anaheim, and don't like to see the Red Wings win again. It's no wonder why Bettman can't get a big American TV contract, there's no constancy in the league to keep fringe fans interested.
Take me and the NBA for example, I'm really only a fan if the Pistons are playing well, however a LA-Boston final, I'll watch because it's the Lakers and Kobe vs. the Celtics and Garnett. If it was say the Utah Jazz and Atlanta Hawks in the Final, I'm not interested.
Funny thing, with this year's Stanley Cup Final TV ratings, Bettman is going to say that American's are really starting to enjoy hockey now and that the Olympics created interest, when the reality is it's all Chicago and Philly, the 3rd and 4th largest TV markets in the country.
Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather a League cater to their better money making markets than the money losing ones. Stanley Cup Finals and brutal TV ratings from NJ-Anaheim, Calgary-TB, Carolina-Edmonton, and Anaheim-Ottawa really hurt hockey in my opinion.
