#2264267 Post-TDT: Red Wings stand pat, no additions

Posted by Grim on 27 February 2012 - 06:44 PM

what it comes down to is:

Q: in the near-term, did the Canucks and Sharks get better at the deadline?
A: yes they did.

#2259779 Datsyuk out at least 2 weeks

Posted by Grim on 21 February 2012 - 03:23 PM

The wings have more home games than the Canucks.... This may mean no presidents trophy, but they should be ok in the west

Wings need to finish top two... otherwise it will likely be a second round exit again.

#2187340 Lidstrom agrees to 1-year, $6.2m contract

Posted by Grim on 20 June 2011 - 07:43 PM

Nik really should have taken even a slight cut... this probably seals it that Ken will go after quick and cheap geezers in free agency.

#2175090 Hudler's Future

Posted by Grim on 13 May 2011 - 12:51 PM

Kenny no longer has the cajones to make a trade. Huds will either be offered an extension or simply dumped in free agency once his contract expires.

#2173017 Vancouver's Green Guys

I think they are harmless... but they should really stick to home games. they might incite a brawl.

#2163458 WCSF Game 2 GDT: Red Wings 1 at Sharks 2

Posted by Grim on 01 May 2011 - 04:40 PM

its been real lovely, folks. im outta here. maybe the Wings might show some life... who knows? i've got far more interesting things to do today like clean out the gutters.

#2123107 Seabrook extended for 5 years at $5.8 million per year

Posted by Grim on 27 February 2011 - 03:28 PM

It's okay. They'll just loan him to a Swiss team if this contract becomes a problem next season.

thats crap how teams can bury contracts overseas or in the AHL, yet still spend. this needs to get addressed in the next cba

#2111572 Forsberg Joins Avalanche

So on that note, I'd love it if LePuke came back. :D

If Claude comes back does this mean we bring back Dmac??

#2081860 Swedish star - Carl Hagelin sign with the Wings?

Posted by Grim on 20 December 2010 - 12:42 AM

no way this guy signs here and accepts assignment to AHL. i can't see Babcock accepting another one-way project like Leino. I'd rather see the Wings give our drafted youngsters a shot at a roster spot.

#2060671 Bettman Moving on?

Posted by Grim on 09 November 2010 - 10:17 PM

I would love to see Bettman try to tinker with Baseball's tradition.... maybe substitute a HR derby instead of extra innings :hehe:

#2023540 Best off season ever?

Posted by Grim on 07 August 2010 - 12:45 AM

If we are old, we might as well go all out... dump Hudler and Meech then take Guerin and Weight for $1M each :hehe:

#2021592 It's Official: Turco to Hawks

Posted by Grim on 02 August 2010 - 02:29 PM

curious... why are so many in glee over the Hawks troubles??

its San-freakin- Jose that ousted/embarassed the Wings in the last playoffs. Kenny needs to shore up the defense and PK. :scared:

#2021589 Corey Perry

Posted by Grim on 02 August 2010 - 02:19 PM

Love him or not, Perry plays a role...

I bet Holmstrom is not exactly loved league-wide either.
