#2257590 Trade Deadline Approaches

Posted by arag on 16 February 2012 - 11:06 PM

i like your updates. keep 'em coming!!

Was stuck in LA traffic and listening to hockey night in Canada. Bettman asked Kenny regarding deadline trades. Kenny confirmed that it would be a dept forward and or a D if he could find one. Those were his words " if we could find any"
So it would be safe not to excpect a big name player.

#2257382 Banner Hanging in Bridgestone Arena (Predators)

Nostradamus has mentioned the Preds in his 5th quatrain...

In the time of the Spring the booger eaters from the south drank in celebration as joy was seen from all corners of the earth. No neck humans (Trotz) looked up at the sky and cried as his army raged on an ice sheet with strange colours on it. The booger eaters ruled and showed passion and courage as they triumphed against the men from the city of the woman with the torch (New York). The No Neck man inspired many as his army swept through and torched their enemies with extreme vigor and mammoth high flying boogers all through the south as they carried a strange looking silver chalice held high above their heads for all booger dwellers to see..

LOL
That is some funny stuff !

Go ahead NYR, trade for Nash. Cap hell.

While a blockbuster trade for Nash would make headlines, it might not be the best move for the Rangers, according to The Wall Street Journal.

#2257308 Rick Nash "available for the right team/price"

Posted by arag on 16 February 2012 - 07:28 AM

You can always blame a professional athlete for being lazy. It's their choice as to whether or not they give their all every night. If everyone followed your philosophy, no bad team would ever stand a chance of getting better.

I agree that Nash and everyone should show up to work every day. However some professionals: scientist, doctors , hockey players require encouragement and or motivation.
Nash gets none in Columbus. Sometimes you have to squeeze it out of them, sometimes they need a change to get motivated. By that I don't mean bigger paycheck.
That is what I ment.
On a personal note my understanding of professionalism is far greater than you may think.
Go Wings!

We should send big E to them to boost their D.

#2257048 Rick Nash "available for the right team/price"

Franzen has a playoff record like no other. Keep him always.

Filp has been an awesome alround performer on the ice, and this year he is having the breakout production year we knew he was capable of having. He does more things better than Nash. Keep him.

We have a ton of depth, a ton, wich translates to assets.

Hudler has been very good this year, but we ultimately want to get bigger, stronger, faster, and score more. Plus, he gets knocked off the puck too easily come playoff time. And he let us know in his own terms (by going to KHL at the last minute after we already made player movements to committ to him) that there is no family loyalty between he and the Wings.

Hudler will atleast alleviate some of the scoring loss for Columbus. The fact that he is too small, slow, and weak for playoff hockey should be a moot point with Columbus.

Package Hudler and Kindl with a balance of picks and prospects that we are comfortable with and hope for the best. If it doesn't work, we have lost nothing. If it does work, we have lost minimal and gained more than we ever could have hoped for.

Sell, Kenny, sell that deal!

package Hudler with big E and send them to Columbus. but it wont happen. Just a wish.

#2256336 Rinaldo gets two games for the charge on Big E

Posted by arag on 13 February 2012 - 07:39 PM

Shanny explained in great detail the reasoning. The comparison with the line, and height difference between the two players, and the obvious launching of himself. I doubt he would have gotten anything other than a 2500 dollar slap, but history caught up to him on this one.

Shanny

Shanny is doing a great job out there.
That contact was totally unnecessary.
Good that Big E did not get hurt.

Good. That is what the players will get for taking a run at softer players.

#2254225 What the F has gotten into these wings?

Posted by arag on 09 February 2012 - 11:42 AM

I think team is playing with a lot more passion the we have been seeing lately. Wings also show that they can play any style of agame, which makes it harder for other teams to come up with a perfect game plan against Wings.
