#2197782 Caps trying to trade Semin?

Posted by Bannedforlife on 11 July 2011 - 04:18 AM

to me

Hudler,1st rounder and another pick should do , i wouldnt mind maybe giving up something like Miller or Eaves,Kindl,1st rounder a later pick and a conditional pick i think now that Hudler has gotten back into the NHL form he is going to surprise everyone next season

Holland wasn't able to GIVE Hudler away at the draft, and now you think the Caps will trade us Alexander Semin if we add a couple of picks? LOL Do me a favor, go ahead and hold your breath until that happens.

#2190664 Babcock "pissed off" about Burns-to-SJ

Posted by Konnan511 on 28 June 2011 - 01:28 AM

All this fuss over brent Burns huh. The guy is severely over-rated. He entered the league on some pretty good Wild teams and then the past 3 season has continually been average with one of the worst +/-s of all the defensemen on the team while being extremely injury prone. Hell, nick Schultz is 3 years older and I'd take him over Burns any day of the week.

Wings wouldn't have been able to offer the Wild anything substantial. The Sharks had to dramatically overpay for Burns, something that Holland just doesn't do. To get Burns it would have cost the Wings, Smith, Filppula a first and probably Helm. Would you make that deal for Burns? I sure as hell wouldn't.

NHL Disciplinary Committe: "Clear blind side hit"

Shanny:"Should have kept his head up, no suspension"

NHLDC:"Huge boarding call, mild concussion"

Shanny:"Shouldn't have turned your back on Raffi Torres"

NHLDC:"Joe Thornton, two diving calls in one game"

Shanny: "Death"

I negged a few people in this thread because they care too much about putting people down rather than having a fun little discussion.

But, I don't know. I'd probably rather he just retire than sign somewhere else. He has little to gain in going to tampa so it would feel like a betrayal.

But if he isn't here (either retirement or this) then next year will be very interesting on the blue line.

#2175109 Greetings from LetsGoSharks.com

Wings Fans -

First, I wanted to extend my congratulations on a great series (and season). Please don't construe this as me rubbing salt in your wound. As a hockey fan, I thought it was a fantastic series. Certainly not the outcome you were hoping for, but entertaining nonetheless. Injuries suck, so losing Cleary and Bertuzzi was tough on your chances. Even with that, last night came down to one goal. Sharks fans have had more than their share of playoff disapointment, so I know how frustrating the day after can be.

I also want to extend my thanks to those of you who contributed on LGS. It's nice when you have a group of knowledgeable fans from other teams visit our site. 99% of the visitors we had visit us had great takes. I suspended one account, because a discussion got a little heated, and I felt it was better to simply extinguish it before it got too out of hand. Hopefully there are no hard feelings from that event.

We made some new friends who we hope will come visit us on the forums from time to time.

I hope Sharks fans (especially those from LGS) conducted themselves in a manner which represented our fan base well. We're all sports fans after all.

Here's looking to many more great playoff series between our two teams. The rivalry is establishing itself as one of the best in professional sports.

Also, if we got the past the sharks we would win the cup. Sharks just beat our asses down low and can not do ANYTHING else, teams like vancouver could not handle a never say die detroit redwings team. And who ever is coming out of the east sure as hell wouldn't. Sharks are bastards, just like the ducks were a couple of years ago. Datsyuk and zettz were clicking as well, we were starting to fire on all cylinders, with an amazing goalie. (playing out of his mind). So to congralulate the sharks is basically eating their s***. I don't like to eat s***, and neither should you. f*** hudlers, babcock and holland need to learn to not have ANY f*** ups on the team. Get rid of hudler and get a solid player, that just fits, plays hard, and doesn't do anything stupid. I rather a player like that get 0 goals and work hard than hudler making every wrong decision.

f*** the sharks, f*** thorton, f*** couture, f*** all them *****. We are the stanley cup champions, the premiere franchise in all of sports, we tell other teams to get on their knees for us, NOT the other way around. The sharks will always eat s***, for now and forever. The canuck are garbage, f*** em to, i hope an eastern conference team wins it.

My prayers go out to Big Bert and Cleary and their families tonight. I can't hate on Hudler too much, we've had some good times with him. But I wouldn't lose any sleep if he was gone come September.

The sharks were deserving winners but that doesn't mean I will ever wish them luck. A bunch of Diving, whining, sore losers and it starts at the top with their ****** bag captain. I honestly hope he never wins a cup in his career.

Having said that. I will congratulate Grypho, he has been great on these boards all series. Enjoy your win mate.

#2174404 Thanks For the Great Season, Wings!

One of the best series in the last decade or so. Sad that it didn't go our way in the end but the comeback was still amazing and showed the true character of this Wings team. I'm gonna be depressed as hell with no Red Wings in the next two rounds but I'm still damn proud of them. :(

#2172852 700 Posts for a Sharks Game 7 Win

Posted by 55fan on 12 May 2011 - 07:24 AM

Sharks win 63 to -9.

All Sharks including the back-up goalie and McClellan with hat tricks. Homer gets a "Callbacktrick" in which 9 goals that he didn't score are called back due to goaltender interference.

#2172588 Bring back the minus rating!

Posted by Matt on 11 May 2011 - 03:45 PM

I have re-enabled the negative rating, with the anti-spamming safeguard of 24-hour caps on the number of +/- reps you can give. We'll see how this goes (I prefer to have both available, too) and if the caps need to be adjusted I'll do that.

(I believe in a future forum update that posts that hit a certain neg rating will either lighten and/or be made invisible. So the option may be for that down the road, too.)

Rooting for Detroit tonight. Wanna see this series go as long as possible. Can't make up my mind on who I want the Canucks to face though. Both Detroit and San Jose would be tough in the conference finals. I think with either team the series with the Canucks is going to go seven games.

Good luck tonight. If any team can pull off four straight it's the Wings.
