#1917697 Ericsson back in lineup, Howard to start vs Edmonton

Posted by Zetts on 17 March 2010 - 04:53 PM

I'm glad that Howard is starting because I'm going to the game, and want a nice, lopsided Wings victory. And there's no way Osgood would be particularly good given how long it's been since he's played.

On the other hand, it sucks that Osgood isn't playing because realistically, if he doesn't play now, I think we can say he's probably not going to for the rest of the season.

It feels weird saying I'd prefer lebda, but I'm glad he's been doing good lately.

#1917637 Hudler's Options

Posted by Drake_Marcus on 17 March 2010 - 01:47 PM

I couldn't find the article I was thinking of, but there was recently an article that detailed Holland's plans to woo Hudler back to the Wings and it mentioned there that having him back for the playoffs was out of the question.

It must have to do with the status of Hudler as an NHL player right now. He's basically defected so it isn't the same thing as a player who's injured and wants to come back.

Also, why does this have to be addressed to "Hudler slappies"? Do you considered all Wings fans who like Hudler "slappies"? That's just stupid. I have to chuckle at how some Wings fans will do anything they can to diminish Hudler's perceived value to the team. The stats don't lie-- we could really use his offense right now.

I read on here that I don't think it is possible, though I would love for it to happen largely for any future responses or rants from you just for the entertainment factor, because your disliking of Hudler is both extremely fascinating and a bit creepy at the same time.

"Hudler slappies"

I don't see him coming back next year, but that's just me. If he comes back, Babcock will likely put him on the 4th line again. It's a no win situation.

Hilarious. Posts that mention Hudler in a positive light consistently get voted down on here. Someone out there feels spurned by a certain midget who can shoot the puck.

Nasty hit, he saw nothing but numbers the whole way and he hammered him anyway. I love Ovie, but i'm getting really tired of all the dirty hits he dishs out. It doesn't help that the NHL refuses to suspend him no matter what he does.

Actually he has already been suspended once this year and received a game misconduct today. Dunno where this 'NHL refusal' is that you speak of.
