I'd let him go and give the playing time to any of the three youngsters that got into the middle of this season. Meech showed Lebda like speed and offensive skills. Erickson is frickin huge and can move the puck like all the other Sweedes. Quincey was very effective when called upon. Lilja makes me nervous as hell every shift out and he takes way too many minor penalties for the 1 or 2 hits he throws per game. i'd let him go.

It is none..............he left on a horrible note, after trying to leave for Carolina earlier in his run. No way this happens for Sergei. Ozzie and Lidstrom are a lead-pipe locks when they are done. i think other than them only Igor Larionov has an outside shot and much of that is based on him leading the Russians all into the league, cracking the door for all of Europe.

Not to rain on the parade but it was obvious to me that Turco said something along the lines of "you are nobodies backup" and even managed a wry grin in defeat. He had to feel crappy getting past the Ducks and Sharks and then getting his arse handed to him on home ice. I give him credit for doing the sporting thing and going through the line with some honor. Knocking down the team you just beat doesn't elevate the Wings, it cheapens their achievment. The Wings don't do it and nor should we.

I agree with most of this. Hudler is not a bad player but he would have been physically dominated on tehboards by the big Duck forwardds....and he is too timid to go in against the banger-type d-man. Not bad in the regular season....but in the playoffs where the refs go to sleep, he would get run.

Would someone please tell me statistically why Kronwall is so great? The guy played 27 games last year. And only about 40 games 2 years back. In between he playe d a full season..........in the AHL. He's never gotten to 10 points in the NHL, and that's on a star laden team that leads the league in scoring year in year out. He hasn't shown me much of anything. Getting Afinogenov.......a guy who averages about 18 goals per season on what was a suck team untill this year would be a steal. Max would probably get 30 on this team with the talent around him. And we need a goalie who is not 41 and tearing a groin or back every 10 minutes. Again, do the deal Kenny!

Iwould do that deal in a heartbeat. Biron is young and skilled. Afinagenov is a rising star and fast as hell. Lang is a soft as a big fluffy cloud and slow. Kranwall has a huge heart but his body is too frail to play the way he does. Do the deal.

I would not even trade Shanny for Bert straight up.

THere are only a couple of players league wide I would consider taking in trade for Datsyuk. Ovechkin, Crosby, Heatley. Notice hte youth theme. And NO goalie would be equivalent value.
