It's playing teams like the Sharks that make watching a series exciting. I never doubted the Wings would beat Calgary, but with the Sharks there's an uncertainty that reminds me of when they used to play the Avs in the playoffs. The Wings seem to elevate their play just to the level needed to beat their opponent at times "Calagary series",but they'll have to play their best right from the start to beat this team. I feel for Flames fans. I think I'd defend my team too if they did the only thing in their power to possibly beat another team in the next game after being physically dominated the way Calgary has been the whole series. I mean let's face face it , can you imagine how embarassing it must have been to be a member of the Flames or one of their fans yesterday? I 'd make up a bunch of crap to justify some goon retaliation too. I'm so glad Iggy didn't get susppended, I can't wait to see him shaking Nick's hand tonight.

Good observation, I didn't notice that. What I find odd, is that teams have done this BS to the Wings for years after being blown-out, and people still act surprised that it happens. You notice no one on the Wings seemed surprised.

I hope none of the Flames get suspended. I want to see Iggy's face as he's shaking lidstroms hand tomorrow night after "Kipper-soft" gives up another 5 goals.

Z's a big boy, he can handle a little rough play from the bigger kids. The flames didn't even have their "real" tough guys in the line up, so it seems obvious to me that they want to play hockey, not fight.
