I don't post on the forums much anymore but I do come on to check in and read over the threads. If this has been posted before my apologies. But I stumbled on a great article. For as much flaming Avery gets I thought this was worth a share. It's a great read. Enjoy!
Also, I'm surprised to see Dallas dead last in the west considering Nill is supposed to be twice the GM Holland is. Or at least that's the talk around these parts no?
I wouldn't call it pointless. The Stars just freed up 4.6 million in cap space off Gonchar's 5.0 million cap hit. Nill probably has bigger plans to bring in a defenseman. Now in terms of pointless from Montreal's standpoint, then yes more of a head scratcher.
Talk about a no-win situation; can't they both lose? I'm still upset with both these teams for their abysmal, shameful performance in the WCF. If I have to pick one to make it out of this round, it would be the Sharks for 2 reasons. 1, then the Sharks would go up against Chicago, and that would be awesome to see them try and beat up on each other. 2, the city of Vancouver can't take another loss later in the playoffs. One and done is best.
I'm assuming you hope the wings win lol... And if we do then we got Chicago not San Jose. We would be the lowest seed (7th) to San Jose's 6th.
