Same with Savard.
I thinks it is pretty clear to everyone who actually ended Savard career, when it happened and how it happened. I think the actual difference is that Savard was better player and earned a plenty of money himself. That is a bit unfair...

I'll believe Babs...just as long as he's not been working out with Andrei Kostitsyn.
Kostitsyn and Hudler could be lethal together

Have to agree with this one. Getzlaf is a beast, Perry has established himself as a force to be reckoned with (despite still being a complete ******), and throw Bobby Ryan on a line with them, when healthy they are the most dangerous scoring line in the league IMO.
this. In addition, Getzlaf is the only player in this league I would trade any current Wing straight up without any hesistation. I would even add a bit trading Zetterberg for Getzlaf. Perry on the other hand is just complementary... Just like Clarke to Gilmore.

Which also makes a lot more sense, as Brunette fills the same kind of "utility offense" role Kopecky does, but has a wicked shot and has been a top-line offensive player for years. Brunette is also excellent with his hands and can fill the net-front spot Kopecky had been playing. I wouldn't be shocked if he has a very good season in Chicago, given the environment surrounding him. He has rarely played with other skilled forwards and skilled defenseman at the same time.
Perry was embarrassed by losing to Dats... one could say that is retribution enough.
Perry was not embarrassed. He won that fight.

#2199811 Jimmy Howard Debate Thread

So, your opinion is in most shootouts Howard gives up 2 goals. You expect members to actually let that fly when its complete bulls***?
I watch a hell-of-a-lot more than 70 games a year, and stating that alleged shootout you're referring to *best describes* Howard is complete garbage. First off, when was this shootout? Two seasons ago would be the only time it could've happened. If that be the case, why don't you acknowledge how solid he's become, especially last season giving up 2 total goals while facing 17 shots! That'sf****** great for any goalie in the NHL to only give up.
So, the point being is stop posting garbage that isn't true and pretending one poor performance in a shootout is what best describes him when *facts* and *logic* prove otherwise. Everyone is allowed to have an opinion, but similarly everyone has the right to call your points out when you post things as fact when they're not.
But...I digress. Back to ConkBlock! If he's signed for the reported $750k, its a great deal for Kenny and the Wings. That's a solid number for a guy I expected to command $1M even.
Fuuuuuuuck! Well, perhaps, statistics say otherwise... Yes, I mentioned it, that's my mistake. Can you name me a person who would feel safe going with Howard to Game 7 of SCF? He is going to let pucks in. Period. Red Wings somehow need to deal with it scoring, scoring and scoring. I remember (I bet you too) those times when our goalie didn't let pucks in in a game just because he played good not because a team in from of him played excellent. These were 97 and 2001-2002 season. Since then we have Howard-like goalies.
PS Notice, I'm not going to ask you how to "watch hell-lot-more than 70 games". Simply because it is no more than 106 every season for SC finalist.

How is this turning into a Howard thread?
I agree a few posts up - most Wings goals against are actually Hudler's fault if you rewind the tape far enough.
Rafalski and Ericsson were also responsible for every second goal
