For what? The Wings can't bring in an expensive shut-down defenseman to sit on the 3rd line. Defensemen are going to be overpriced at this year's deadline anyway.
Lidstrom-Rafalski-Stuart-Kronwall isn't exactly a cheap or a bad top 4. In a cap world you can't go and grab a 4 million dollar defenseman to play on the 3rd pairing anyway.
Rafalski needs play a smarter game and the entire team needs to be committed to playing Red Wings hockey for 60mins every night. Our 1st periods have been horrible lately.
Why can't you? Kronwall is a 3 million dollar defenseman and has played the 3rd paring this season!!!!
The contracts are prorated anyway so it's not like we are paying the full amount of the contract anyway. Plus we'd most likely be looking at guys that are UFA in the summer so the contracts won't hurt next year's cap unless re-signed.
And I'd ship off some roster players to get that stay-at-home defenseman that will clear the net and block shots.
I want another Cup.

Well, giving up 3-4 goals a game is not going to cut it in the playoffs. Holland needs to make a move.
