  1. I hope so. One advantage to this abomination of season should be less nationally televised games.
  2. And he doesn’t even have to play a full game!

3/18 GDT | Detroit Red Wings @ Colorado Avalanche | 3 PM ET

Colorado's second goal is a perfect example of why Detroit stinks. They get all kinds of pressure in the offensive zone and can't score. Helm gets knocked easily off the puck, Ericsson makes a Stupid and slow pinch. 2 on 1 down low and a goal

There are just too many stretches when this team is outworked. It is one thing when teams have more talent, but there is no excuse to be out hustled and outworked.

Good news....looks like Abby has been upgraded to the 1st line!
  8. It seems after every game Blashill goes out of his way to heap praise on Sheahan. It's just go bizarre how some guys are held accountable and others contantly get a free pass.

Perhaps because of the deterant of receiving a penalty! No, you don't see that anymore, but it does not mean it's no longer a delay of game. The point is there should be a more tangible consequence for losing a challenge than the current system. And Bob Rouse always played within the rules of the game. No illegal sticks necessary for Number 3.

There really needs to be a deterrent to these challenges. If you lose the challenges it should be a delay of game penalty. Why is it delay of game if you ask a ref to measure an illegal stick, but not for delaying the game for these reviews. There's no consequence, particularly late in games, to challenge other than losing a timeout or the potential to challenge later.

11/20 GDT : Calgary Flames 3, at Red Wings 2

I missed the third period but saw that Howard took a penalty with like a minute and 15 seconds left. Why did Mantha serve the penalty? This team struggles hardcore to score goals and the one goal scorer you have sits in the box at the end of the game? Am I missing something?

ECSF : Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Washington Capitals

I thought the same thing. I was under the impression that they could assist in calling a major penalty or even a four minute. I don't recall ever seeing that for a two minute penalty. Interestingly something similar happened last night in the Islanders/lighting game; however the officials blew the play dead on the high stick, but never made a call. The officiating in the playoffs this year has seemed particularly bad.

The Blues look damn good right now

I was there when this happened. It was an incredible performance by Bill Burr and he won the crowd over.
