Actually he's closer than you think... He's playing for Kalamazoo in the ECHL
-
I believe that MLive had an article that Larsson will be in GR with McCollum, Pearce is expected to be in Toledo.

Players who have left the red wings and watched their careers disappea

Umm doesn't anybody remember Aaron Ward, he went on to win a cup with Carolina after leaving Detroit. -
No, I know Wang Chung. But TPBM looks like a windup monkey when they dance.

Refs have swallowed the whistles, they aren't calling anything on the pens, hopefully nothing else on us...
-
They can't beat us 5 on 5, never could, refs have to even it up, NHL likes the TV ratings, gotta have the series go longer.

What a dive

Some of us on the West side of the state have been to a K-Wings game at one point or another, the K-Wings were once an affiliate of the Red Wings. Well the K-Wings just announced that they are pulling out of the International Hockey League.. K-WINGS WITHDRAWING FROM IHL Kinda sad to see them go, although as a Griffins fan, I've never really liked the K-Wings, but they've been a staple in hockey on the west side of the state for 35 years. Their future is kinda up in the air, they've basically said that they will be playing hockey this season, but in what league nobody knows. The games vs. Fort Wayne and Muskegon were always fun to watch.

It also means that the Blackhawks have sucked for a while

Ah, but here's the thing. Back in 1996 and 1997, that wasn't a rule, it is now... Also back in 1996 and 1997, you couldn't be a hair in the crease and you would have had your goal waived off (unless you're Buffalo and Dallas in 1999), but that rule has now been changed. You're not calling a game in the 2009 playoffs according to the rules of 1996 and 1997.

What gets me is the "criteria" from the nhl rulebook that says basically it wasn't message sending nor was it payback for a previous situation.. Off the top of my head I can think of two things that do meet that criteria. Malkin is trying to send a message, he's upset with the way that the Wings are playing him and Crysby. And the other reason... payback, he's trying to get even for the Wings making him look silly last year in the finals, what did he finish with... One goal and that was in game 6. There's two legit reasons right there which meet the NHL criteria for why he should be suspended according to the rule. Plus forgotten in all of this is that Bylesma also got a break on what would have been a $10,000 fine for the coach.

Shows you that ESPN still doesn't know a thing about hockey
-
I've been in those seats before, you're probably not going to be able to see the scoreboard. and maybe the very far end goal

I am betting a lot of people in the media have never heard the phrase "You make your own breaks"
